  • What is this joker talking about?? String is a man made substance - it's just a thinner version of rope - how can the universe be made of that! Who is this buffon?! Is the Earth made of string?? NO! Last time I looked the Earth was part of the Universe ergo the Universe is not made of string!

  • String theory is not in completion as I have read

  • He' doesn't explain string theory at all, which he probably won't because most of us wouldn't understand a single thing. But what he wants us to know about string theory is that it represents the ultimate theory for every explanations in the universe

  • Hmmm, Not the most informative piece from Mr Kaku. Personally i'd prefer it if instead of having to understand and calculate complex equations to get your PHD you could just say "Some numbers"

  • this man is very very wise. listen to him :D

  • The title was just a bit off, I'm sure it was just a slight mistake. Don't hate, lol.

  • String theory! Can i haz my PhD plz

  • huh?

  • Basically... string theory says that everything is made up of 'strings' of various frequency..

  • If that was 'String Theory for Dummies' I guess I need to look for 'String Theory for complete morons' because I didn't learn shit. -_-"

  • @FreshSinceMyGenesis He clearly implied that string theory is the theory of everything right at the start of the video. and at 0:36 he said that the universe is based on vibrating strings. At 0:53 he explains how small you can get when you smash atoms, and then ends the video by saying that the string is the smallest and most fundamental and is all you will need to explain everything. Therefore, string theory is the theory to explain everything I just summerised. He explained it just fine.......

  • @Singetally Cool beans...Why didn't he just say that. Sheesh! Thanks pal.

  • @FreshSinceMyGenesis He did, that was my point lol!

  • @FreshSinceMyGenesis this answer made my day, thank you hahaha

  • @FreshSinceMyGenesis kaku cant explain very well and its terrible

  • @FreshSinceMyGenesis First you have to decide in which depths you want to understand this.. the deepest one needs the extremest complexest math crap which exist on this planet xD (planned to do xD)

  • @FreshSinceMyGenesis But you're already worse than a moron lol

  • i jizzed at the end.........

  • String theory they want to add dark matter Higgs boson and other things I'n the equation to make string theory complete so much to learn

  • I love Michio Kaku, but that didn't explain shit about what String Theory actually is.

  • @Gr1Fy lol seriously!

  • @Gr1Fy everything in the universe is connected somehow through strings.

  • @Gr1Fy I get the impression that there's only so much in theoretical physics that a person can explain without delving into the mathmatics of it, and as soon as you do that the explanation is no longer in layman's terms.

  • @Gr1Fy String theory combines general relativity and quantum physics into an understandable system. If he explained both of those you would have no idea what it is anyways.

  • @Gr1Fy He clearly implied that string theory is the theory of everything right at the start of the video. and at 0:36 he said that the universe is based on vibrating strings. At 0:53 he explains how small you can get when you smash atoms, and then ends the video by saying that the string is the smallest and most fundamental and is all you will need to explain everything. Therefore, string theory is the theory to explain everything I just summerised. So I don't understand what your talking about.

  • @Gr1Fy He does, in the context the following is that Stringtheory describes the world as little string which have a frequency - so, waves again :D

  • @Gr1Fy I've seen everything he's done on string theory, he NEVER EVER explains it, just gives a very brief overview

  • @Gr1Fy string theory is an equation that describes every fundamental law of physics in just an inch on your paper (unless you right it really big!). Essentially it describes the origin of everything using these principles in physics and you can imagine it by thinking of an infinite number of strings that vibrate. that's about as simple as it gets...
