Yes, but i have family in Moscow and as far as i know he is still rather popular amongst Russians... more so than US Congress or Obama/Bush. I already said i know he is not a champion of democracy, but if you aren't willing to admit that Putin cleaned up Russia and put the oligarchs in their place, then must be biased.
Russians do not remember the lawless Yeltsin years very fondly... they needed a strong leader to pull them out of that quagmire. Putin was that man.
