This a a song from a band that's been there, done that, and come back to go again. It's a brilliant example of mature song writing skill that only a few have ever possessed and even fewer have been fortunate enough to prove. A masterpiece beyond words.

Ok that's true. It's only 5 mins without the slow begining and the fucking great start of the hard part. But if you listen carefully and try to observ the harmonic mix of the concert and the accustic version and you also try to catch the rithm of both together and each-each: you gonna enjoy. Don't want to bitch but when I pay a ticket to hear a band performig live I want to hear a perfect copy of the original music, even if I'm in a concert I pretend the same quality when Placebo came to Guadalajara Mexico they offered a flawless concert it was just great !!!
Yeah, I never really got that. There is no "Live version" then. I would like anything but a copy of the studio version. Seeme kind of dull. Having said that...this is obviously an experiment that either works or doesn't for the listener. Personally it kicks some serious but in my humble opinion. But then again, I find bad REM about as frequently as I find logic on Fox News. But that's for another day I suppose.

That said, I understand and appreciate your take and for one example Rush seem to do what you like very well. And that, I think, shows great talent. Bottom line RnR, at its best, is often very raw.

Oh dear, the gap at: 3:09 isn't so good how i thought, but i am really proud of this first two minutes.Especially 1:29-1:36 and the scream("the") at 0:52. From 1:47 it's a little bit extreme but listenable. Can I offer 2:25 for real R.E.M. fans? Surely I can.
