the verison of painkiller thats on A Touch of Evil is unbelievable!!! Its amazing how much heavier the song sounds when the guitars are tuned half a step down!
Touch of evil is amazing, it does take a while to get into, and some of the high notes had to be "cheated", but I can tolerate that. Between the Hammer...and Beyond the Realms...are worth the price of admission alone. I could listen to Between for the rest of my live.
Live albums never work as well as being live. Producers try hard to make the records sound live, but it's something that'll never happen. Live and studio are two very distinct things.
They are right, there is nothing from Unleashed In The East or Priest... Live on it. They've done that. Most of the songs on the cd weren't even out yet then anyway. There are two songs that were on '98 Live Meltdown with Ripper but none that have been released live with Rob.

Not the heaviest live album yet, in my oppinion. They also didn't put the hits on there. Diamond and Rust, You've Got Another Thing Comin, Ram It Down, Headin Out To The Highway, Breakin The Law, Hell Bent For Leather, Electric Eye, stuff like that. That's what I wanna hear on a Live Priest record.
You've got to be kidding. The whole point was that it was all stuff that was previously unreleased on a live album. This albums is like a gift to the die-hard fan, not pandering to people who know 3 or 4 Priest songs.
0:36 1:14 Did he mentioned that the album was heavy??? .-)

These guys are absolutely brutal live. A Priest concert will leave you bruised and bleeding, but still sound really good.
Long live the Metal Gods.
