I thought there were already laws in place, to address this sort of thing? I think the real problem is, the laws already in place, are not being UPHELD! But that's hardly anything new, when it comes to how the US gov't deals with the Native population... They are always breaking the laws, breaking their word, breaking the treaties, etc.

Ive given this some thought and i feel its no coincidence that these same stores that have flooded our country with slave built goods throwing our economy in a ditch due to the fact our factories cant compete with 50 cents a day emploies in china and the like to this raping of our geographic historical landmarks are of no accident. I share your sentiments to some degree. But I think the success of franchises like Walmart, is also due to the crappy way America treat's it's poor people. Which has caused many to "defect", so to speak... To turn away from American goods, American retailers, etc... The issue is actually about a lot more than simple commerce. & the tyrants are only in power, because WE handed them the power, and we continue to support them, in various ways. A complete overhaul of the status quo is needed.

You're right.

Wal-Mart has stopped the destruction of the mound for now following our protest, but apparently Target now has views on it... it is just a matter of time that ANY shopping center will make their hands on the mound, unless we succeed in protecting it with a law. We need as well to reach politicians who agreed that it could be destroyed (the mayor and the governor). Elections are next year!
