@MizzouFan , maybe they are preparing for X3 xDrive30d :) It was scheduled on March 2011, so maybe BMW USA will offer only one diesel engine - more powerful xDrive30d. I have no idea...

@bubarusubaro ,probably you're right :) Acceleration to 160 km/h is pretty good, but after this... However 320xd is much lighter and have better aerodynamics. You must remember that it's only SUV :)

@ervinski7 , it's 8 gear Steptronic automatic. It reaches 200 km/h at 7 gear (or 8, but it's overdrive).

Why is your X3 rev counter have redline at 4750rpm? My new F25 xDrive20d auto has redline of about 5400rpm. I notice in some other videos that they don't have the blue efficientdynamics fuel consumption counter. Why the difference? Isn't all xdrive20d have the same 184hp engine?

@flyco889 because only the ones with navi professional have the efficient dynamics digital counter. but they are the same

@flyco889 , I don't know why you have redline at so high rpm's for diesel engine... All xDrive20d's have same 184hp engine. My xDrive20d has it at 4750 and this is also high for diesel, but yours... I can't understand it.

I've got bigger display with EfficientDynamics fuel consumption counter, because my car has Navigation Professional. Other radios or Navi Business have smaller display, without EfficientDynamics counter.

Sorry, but this is why am i hate the 8speed shifter. When you are going only just 100 km/h it's in 4th gear! Allright, i know this is good for the economy, but i don't care. I think BMW only make this because the Lexus, and etc. has 8 speed shiter, and how is it look, if the BMW doesn't has?! It has a lot of torque, so you don't need an 8 speed, maybe an "only" 6 speed will be better.

@danessz93 , You don't have to be sorry :) You have some reason, because it has a lot torque and in normal driving automatic doesn't have to change gears often. I think optimal would be 7 gears automatic, with 6 normal gears and 7th as overdrive. In this kind of gearbox it would hit 100 km/h at 4k rpms on 3rd gear. But beyond that, this Steptronic gearbox is amazing. It shifts so fast, has very good manual mode, and changes gears so smooth... Just perfect combination with xDrive 20d
