It was still a hassle getting through to youtube, but it was eventually done. They don't make such info public and easy to access so its very helpful when you provide such detailed info on the DMCA. The way I see it, Youtubes copyright department has nowhere to go but up. That being said, however, I believe it is probebly due to people like yourself who are always smashing against the rocks of free speech, open debate and fair use that are supposedly the cornerstone of this site. As to whether or not you received preferential treatment, I can not say, only time (and monitoring how they deal with future DMCA complaints) will tell.

its really good to see you back, and as usual you are right about youtubes dmca policy. yeah, they do need to take down videos (and restore them upon verification it does not infringe on copyright, and actually do a review) but the suspensions are for the vast majority complete bullshit

One of my videos was tagged as copyright by some company named Crispy Gamer, that I didn't know about until that time when my video was tagged as copyright.

It's like, Oh, yea. I think it's a great thing to take someone's videos, file a false copyright claim on it, so that they can take my video down. But since my video hasn't been pulled, I deleted it anyways, to protect my account.

I think part of youtube's problem is they do not have the cash to pay people to watch DMCA'd videos. In this case they might consider having internships for law/pre-law students.

I got an email the day after my account was reinstated saying that they restored it because the DMCA was bogus. Their communication has improved, at least in this instance.
