When I live in Japan in the early 90's it was popular for girls at nightclubs to stand on platforms and wave their fans back and forth to the music. They were called dai tachi (big stand) girls. If I wanted to get cooled down while dancing I could just stand in front of them and get ventillated. Too cool!

All the sale girls were trying to get my attention too while I was in Japan. o__o it's one of those things that I actually hate. x[ and because I'm gaijin, I was tking pictures in teh store and one of the girls came up to and was like "American camera!!(:D)" I was kinda scared because I thought she was going to steal my camera =__=;;
