@marcos20alves While it's very impressive that Mir was able to submit Nogueira, the broken arm means nothing. Any armbar will lead to a broken arm if the guy doesn't tap and Nog was determined not to tap. Many a Fedor's victims would be broken today had they not decided to tap when they did.

In fact, if u seen the fight, Noguiera, actually knocked him to the ground and was a bout to finish him with a guilitine choke, so Noguiera was actually winning before he got kimura'd.. But Fedor was never in trouble from the start.. And lets not forget, this was when Noguiera was real good. In his prime.. This is not the Noguiera, currently in the UFC that's busted up

It's a different era now. The Nog that fought Fedor had better reflexes and less wear and tear, and to top it all off, he was fighting under a different ruleset that was far more permissive; there's just no room for comparison.

This Nog would've been a better matchup against the current Mir and more likelier to have beaten him decisively if he had had time to acclimate to the ruleset.
