Parcaro and Bonham have this man to thank for the 1/2 time shuffle...even if they tweeked it a bit to make it their own...it's still based on this very groove.
YOURE ALL MORONS!, in order to play this correctly you have to feel it in 48/16 time and subdivide the octuplets on the back beat. Check out Ted Reed's Syncopation if this is over your head

@jacopman Indeed he did...and he also tooks elements forn the Bonham suffle and combined it Purdie's shuffle and came up with his famous Rosanna shuffle.
not sure if Porcaro INTENTIONALLY combined them. i guess that as a musician, you integrate the music you've heard into what you play...wheter you want it or not... its kinda subconscious.
