Fair enough. How about we take the $1.3 million difference in price and modify the Hemidart to be street legal. They weren't that highly modified either. The only reason the Hemidart wasn't legal for road use was the bumpers and glass so I guess that means $1.3 million in engine and suspension mods to equal the Veyrons ridiculous pricetag. I predict the Veyron would be destroyed once again by the 40 year old car at less than half the price.

The transmission and most things on this car are computer controlled. AWD cars must be put in motion before the power is applied. If you rev up before starting in a AWD car you are going to burn out the clutch. In 2WD cars if you rev and engage the clutch it will grab and the tires spin until there is sufficient traction to control the power. What the Bugatti Veyrons computers do is control the torque until the traction control calculates that max power can be applied, explains slow start.
