  • Great idea, rebuild on a flood plane again. F- New Orleans

  • What I want to see is a affordable home design that will allow the homes to rise as the water rises. I think a design of a dome home that can float is not only possible but very affordable. Even if the home would have to be reset after as long as the home does not get the water damage the city can come back in a matter of months rather than years. I LOVE NOLA you have no other city with the smells of the food sound of music street performers it is the best city I have ever experienced.

  • @cdltpx Your a little late.. those houses are already built and people are already living in them..

Look up: FLOAT House New Orleans

They float as the water rise.

  • @dninc They have had them for years in Holland. I want to see a cost effective hurricene proof home. If it cost $300K for the flotation it is not worth the trip but if you can build the home like the dome home where the base is waterproof it will float if you design it and it will do it for little money since the structure is one part.I want a home where nothing sticks out the bottom even if it meant having a pump for sewerage.

  • I love NOLA too she is a lost cause I don't recommend human habitation unless they elevate it is going to flood again she is going to be hit again and again. I am watching the WC and they are tracking tropical waves off Africa right now they have potential to develop. Every one in hurricane tornado wildfire lightening land should be living in concrete DOME HOMES elevated to avoid floods. Cars should have rafts for them so they may float should it floods to save the cars.
