@chri5xoxo we have to pay to play online because we connect to the LIVE network and MS charges a subscription fee for access to this service. That's capitalism :D

I like/dislike different things about both the PS3 and 360, but own both proudly and play both online. Live happens to be one of the things I like about the 360 and I generally find it to be a more usable, streamlined and well thought out service than PSN.

BTW, I do hope PSN catches up, but it's got some way to go before it does.

Oh, I meant to say - PSN is definitely heading in the right direction and I've got high hopes for it, but until we get cross-game chat and a party system I'll continue doing most of my online gaming on the 360.

Who cares, honestly. Game companies have been copying off of each other for YEARS! Have you ever looked at a 360 controller and compared it to the Dualshock? It's the same thing, except the left analog stick is switched with the DPAD... But who cares. I personally lean towards PS3 because it's free. . . Xbox charges 50 dollars. . . As if they aren't making enough money. . .

Except Sony doesn't charge me 50 a year to play online and use Facebook, twitter, last fm, and other applications that originated through a web browser. It's like charging me every month to use a twitter on my ipod touch.

And if anything, 360's interface was inspired by the XMB and the Wii avatars, which doesn't say much for originality. Nice try.

Current timeframe places it around September, but its still very much a Work In Progress. If there are any major delays, that will slip and if there are very few delays at all, it might even arrive earlier, but dont bank on it as it is a lot more complicated than you might imagine. At this point, its working quite well in the labs and supports several players at once. Its targeted to work with all past and future games that support ingame XMB, much like text chat" words of Super_Secret....

The Xbox 360 NXE (New Xbox Experience) is basically an upside down version of the XMB (Xross Media Bar) from the PS3.

I agree... It does look better on Xbox, but it is easier to navigate on PS3. However with the new Dynamic themes available to download after version 3.00. I think that the XMB will actually look better than NXE.

Now we just need Cross game voice chat & i find ps3 way better then xbox. Espicially since ppl sound like robots on xbox.. & dont got much good exclusives coming. Glad i got a ps3 in th elong run.

PS3 Exclusives>360 Exclusives. Killzone 2 destroys any Halo. MAG will destroy any fucking exclusive CAll of Duty camping maps you get earlier on. Gears of War and FAble are the only exclusives on 360 that I think are actually great. Uncharted 2 is going to flipping amazing now that's it online. Grant Turismo 5> Forza. Final Fantasy 14 is going to be exclusive to ps3. We have Motorstorm andother MGS exclusive psp titles.

X-box 360 copied the PS3 XMB first. Rumor has it that cross-game chat is in firmware 3.0 and it's a surprise. The same guy who leaked the ps3 slim and other firmware 3.0 updates with specific details, it also saying that the friends list will have "cross game chat" What the ps3 video of it not being there. The guy does not show the new features of the friends list he talks about.

This is why I sold my PS3. The NXE/Live ensures I spend an average of 10 hours a week on the 360 in comparison to the 2 hours I would spend on the PS3.

But they are struggling to add e.g. game chat because Microsoft patented the technology/method used. Sony are probably trying to find a way around it
