the gear would still be down, first reason is why add the extra depth to the aircraft and increase the chance of it hitting the ground, the second reason is an aircraft cannot use its landing gear in the situation, the craft would tamble and rip apart killing everyone in it, should it land on its belly it slides, so the gear would be up in real life or in game.
None never flown one. Have a private fixed wing license though, which is of no relevence since its gear does not retract, but its the procedure with aircraft with retractable gear, and the airframe of a copter hardly differs.
@TheEternalUniverse Well, in the game it's no big issue. But as a real world helicopter pilot (hence the 'fling wing'), power failures are a reality. And helicopters are EXPENSIVE. I know a guy who landed a Dauphin on its belly. We're talking tens of thousands of $ damage, that someone had to pay. Search light + antenna broken, not to mention structural damage... Sheet-metal work is not cheap, either. With low airspeed and low altitude, plus a hot day, best keep that wheels down, in real life.
how often r u using trim in this video. and whn ur performing those turns are u holding trim?

in real life, when you do maneuvers this close to the ground, you'll keep the gear down all the time, just in case.
FlingwingGolfer 2 years ago
its actually the opposite. The gear would be up just incase it hits the ground.
TheEternalUniverse 1 year ago
if not the gear, the belly.
I'm talking real life, where things like engine failure and tailrotor strikes happen.
In the game; sure, keep it up.

@TheEternalUniverse
I see what you mean.
So, how many hours of real helicopter
flying time do you have?

Thanks for these.
Was that a bug, where you opened the door, and the sound got quieter instead of louder?
