The scream at 2:10 and 4:12, as well as the guitar and microphone toss into the sea and Chris's dive into Dom's kit makes me feel that Matt and the band were rather pissed or something. Plus the fact that they walked off after the performance giving that "Fuck off!" look. Interesting.

While their newer stuff is great, this song just chills me to the spine, seeing this, or the pure intensity of hyper music or energy of sober would just be so much better than anything they play these days, imo.

@Crazy2558 i feel the exact same. i saw them for the bhar tour, and it was still amazing, but i will never see anything like showbiz, or origins and it makes me really sad. yeah the new stuff is great, but i can listen to black holes maybe twice through, and then get bored, but showbiz or origins ive had playing in my car for at least a month straight and not gotten tired of it. :(

Also this was in may 2000, not 1999. They played on that show before that and they played a great show in november 1999 for another French channel called MCM (Recess was on the setlist! Watch it on YT, it's amazing) and regular shows in small venues in cities like Marseille, so they played a lot in France before that and renamed "Muse" a really long time ago! Cheers!

Hello! Correction! This is not the band's first gig after renaming, it is not even an actual gig. They were invited by a French TV show called "Nulle Part Ailleurs" (Canal + channel) during the Festival de Cannes, that's why they're by the Mediterranean sea (Canal + headquarters being in Paris the rest of the year). That's what they used to do on that show: everyday they would invite a band to perform one or two of their songs and it was awesome!!!! (Nirvana, Korn, Muse several times...)
