I think that Muslims say that out of respect for the Muslim dead. It is something people say when someone dies. And when they say "el shahed habib Allah," it means those who die in a war (shahed) are loved by God or will go straight to heaven or something like that. It was explained to me once. In Islam, the bodies of civilians of war do not decay in the ground (they are preserved miraculously), and their souls go straight to heaven. That's how I understood it.

in the west bank the situation is even worse. palistians lands and properties are being stolen by isrealis occupier to build more settlements, settlers constantly are attacking palstians homes and the israeli authory is in their side (just a month ago they set fire in many palistins homes), their are more than 500 check points, they are impresoned inside the walls...etc
