I find Diana's version of this song very soothing and enjoyable. Actually, my favorite rendition of the song.

Diana is a great performer, no just a singer.

She plays a great piano and offers great renditions on standards.

She is a fine performer and a beautiful woman.

I find this version thin and a bit sterile. Sinatra had an amazing ability to get inside a song and lyric and grip a listeners heart and soul. Sinatra owned this style because he invented it...and lived it. Not to mention his amazing pipes, phrasing and intonation. No contest.

Diana Krall has an amazing talent.. "Only The Lonely"..I think it's her best song..wonderful harmony..just perfect..and wonderful images.. :X

@JadeTomZ - I am a BIG Sinatra fan, but hey, Diana Krall is not just a singer. She is literally in the mode of Nat King Cole, and jazz pianist first who didn't think she could sing until others told them to - in fact, her Nat Cole Trio tribute album is cool. Not just a singer.
