This was my mom. Every time the school would contact her about anything, or she would have to come in, she would put on such a show that in the end, the school apologized to her and I for bothering us with meetings and phone calls. Roseanne was my mom, and I was Darlene... We called each other that when we were fighting, too. -sigh- Ahh the good old days. lol Roseanne for life!

I saw her talk about it in an interview Roseanne said "yeah Sara why did we have to replace the kid from the pilot?" and she laughed and said "because I beat him up the whole time and they couldn't make me stop" or something along those lines.

This show was the absolute best. It wasn't some glossed over rose-colored view of family life. The laughs, jokes, marital issues, child issues, & family issues kept DH/me laughing making our probs seem less daunting. It also gave us a lighter mood w/kids.He was a new dad in a step-family hwr, my ex left so he IS my oldest child's dad w/o question. He's gr8 w/our 11yo too, both girls but he somehow manages to do pretty good. almost 20yrs later & we're still under the same roof. Not too bad...
