  • Great video, thank you for sharing. Is the standard motor that comes with the RTF version good enough to take the GoPro@ up without overheating it?

    Is the Bixler glider able to actually glide on thermals and go up no depending on the motor?

  • @Rafael14Bis yes, the stock brushless motor has plenty of power and won't overheat. Make sure to get to use the 6x4 prop though.

    The Bixler can glide on thermals well, but only when the thermal conditions are right. I've had a couple of times where I could stay up for 45 - 60 minutes on one battery.

  • I love the Gopro but doesn't the plastic case create too much weight? How stable are the flights? Is the motor the defaut? Nice video!

  • This is great, I was told that with the protective case it would be too heavy to fly properly, but I figured that was a load of bunk. Thanks for the walkthru on creating your custom mount gave me some great ideas.

  • Good video. I kept that mount because I knew I would find a use for it. I never knew what that white rubber piece was for though. lol. Hopefully I still have it.
