How can there b a cardboard in the middle of a multi-tiered cake? How can we insert a centre dowel from the top tier when theres a cardboard?

Hi...Is that just regular cardboard that the cake is on? Eg. from a box? or is it special cake board? Thanks x

@StrawberryFlower2009 It is a special cake board...it's really just corrugated cardboard, usually coated with a parchment like surface so it doesn't get soggy from the moisture in the cake.

hi i no this miight be like a really stupid question but wen you gonna eat the cake arnt you like goin to eat the cardboard wen you eat it it and like how are you suppost to cut sorry for this question but iv never been to like a wedding :S

@missretard25 nah, you don't eat the cardboard. During a wedding, the caterers will disassemble the cake tiers so that no one cuts into cardboard. :]
