And there are also Khmer scripts in Ouimet Museum in France and in Vietnam even in Thailand there is one of Khmer script and translate by Thai scholar proving Khmer King wanted to reborn as Khmer in Cambodia. If you search for records that go back over 100 years, you will find out that your people have written out Mon, Cham and any other element out of the history books. Those older sources translated by the french still have it. According to royal cambodian records from 1886 the area belonged to Cham before Khmer.

i dont care about cambodia. what happen there doesnt affect me and it got nothing to do with me. khmer people should worry about cambodia not me. but it seem to me khmer people are more worry about thais and thailand what will thai claim next. thats really pathetic if a group of people live thier lives everyday worrying about other people bussiness. some people hate individual but when it comes to khmer i havent seen one who talks nice thing about thier neighbors especially thai.

Just because you are born in an area doesn't mean you are really their ethnicity.
For example, I know many Filipinos who are born in Hawaii and claim that they are Hawaiian. A black person born in China doesn't make that person Chinese.

Cambodia is a beautiful country. We just have such a currupt society it makes me angry. A lot of old Khmer folks here love to make up stories and lies. It makes me mad that some of us Khmers can be that way. Lying about knowing Muay Thai, Bokator, and lying about being captured by the Khmer Rouge.

I would agree that Tony Jaa is Khmer-Thai, just like the majority of the Surin province. However, he only claims that he is Thai. It wouldn't hurt to give his original country some credit.
I guess you could say that Cambodians want a piece of the action. Which is kinda lame but whatever.
Everyone thinks that Muay Thai is from Thailand now thanks to Thais, naming it Muay Thai. They refused to call is SEA boxing. That's all we Cambodians are saying. We need money too?

devilmirror yes here in america there are many replicas of monuements from different parts of the country. the difference is here in america you are educated and taught where these moneuments come from. for example you know pyramids come from egypt. in thailand its the exact opposite. they teach the exact opposite. if you were to visit thailand or have friends and family who live there like i do you would know what im talkin about. no need for me to explain

My dad told me about this. Back in 1967 his freind Yim Yeun was Prodal Seray Bogator practiced. Thai champoin beat most khmer who just regular people to step in to fight only for the money to feed their family. Thai announced is their any Khmer who dare to fight their champ? Only when they raise the stake high, Yim Yeun accepted the offered. He went to Thailand to fight the Thai's champ. Yim Yeun is deadly in very close range. While Thai champ throw powerful kicks to display his power.

Yum Yeun block all the Thai kicks and punches that not landed significantly. Yim Yeun want to test his kicks and punches. He realized every time the Thai champ throw a kick he leave his upper face open. So he had to get him in a clinch that when Yim Yeun was deadly with his elbow blow so fast cut the forehead of the Thai champ while blood block the vision the unleashed all his kicks backs and knees and more elbows. Thai champ was out. True story no lie.

Dude this was in the 60's and of course it's true because my dad was his friend and trained with him as well. No disrespect to Thai kickboxers or any kind of fighters. All the old folks knows and heard of him in Cambodia. All the known fighter are killed during the civil war only a few survive. Imagine if they were to live and pass their skills till now. What about suriya? Eh puthang is still the champ and hold the belt 2008. What is suriya holding now?

We should not judged or look at each other as weaker. You never know until you step in the ring yourself or getting in real fights yourself no matter it's in the streets, school or anywhere. Even the very best have their rainy day. It's doesn't mean he's suck. We just don't know, but I tell you this if I were Eh Puthang I wouldn't fight in Thailand for 20 grands. Now a day reputation and respect is important. In opinion I think Eh Puthang chose money over his passion.

eh phutong living conditions is probably 100 times worst than the thai suriya fighter. you can see in interviews right here on youtube he barely has a house, does not make enough being champion to feed his family, he does farming and construction on the side. im not sure if any of the fighters in cambodia can live off just fighting.
