Now I can barely hold my disgust. I kill all the ones I see, and eat most. Others I feed them to big fishes... with the hope they would develop a taste for the pest.
No, actually your body will start tingling and feeling like bees beating the inside of your skin within a few minutes you will hardly be able to move a mucsle period, i worked at petco and got stung by one when i was tryna clean out the tank he wouldnt attack but i brushed him wrong next thing i know my hand hurts so bad im starting to grow tears they call the ambulance and they said im lucky it was only a small amount of poison i got, trust me.. hurts like hell! but, theyre protecting themselve
I have that same exact fish in my 180gal saltwater fish tank. Have had him for almost 2 years now, we named him Milton. My dad got stung once from him barely, thank god it wasn't a full sting. He eats maybe 19-20 to sometimes almost 30 goldfish or rosie feeders in one feeding.
and most awesome name for a fish :) Good that your dad didn't get hurt to bad then, since the vid said it had no enemies. (Guess if it was as big and aggresive as the shark, it would have been god of seas.)
Oh don't worry, my sister's boyfriend is on the Boston Red Sox ( right outta high school) and he's on the high AAA team, and in Florida. He says they're invading the shores and killing people off 5 to 10 at a time because of their size.
wow. i think its funny that they are just now realizing this issue in 2008-9 . im 26 and i remember catching one at pensacola beach when i was 9 or so. it was a small one. and only a few years ago me and a friend saw one while surfing at ft pickens that was full grown. get on the ball you fancy marine biologists. lol
Yes Kick2theFlip you can buy them, although they are VERY rare to find. Local pet stores around me know we love saltwater fish so they stock up on fish. Yes it was in the Deuce Bigalow movie.
you know they eat other fish right? they are going to eat alot of Atlantic reef fish and probably put some on the endangered species. Lion fish are on top of there food chain.
It really is a cool fish but it kinda sucks cause we can't like do anything to really move them. There's alot of them now and we cant just go up and move them. They're POISONUS!!!
I've swan in the red sea 100's of times without that stupid diving gear and all that with my egyptian family and friends and never saw one you nature people are all idiots i was never hurt either

I remember how the very first science project in first grade was about this fish.
God it feels so weird to see it again.
Beautiful.

false the stings hurt just like normal bee stings.
trainkid12 2 years ago 5
yea, the sting feels like a bee sting but its better descibed as though the bee had a needle for a stinger, instead of an actual stinger....lol
epi9 2 years ago
@trainkid12 which is excruciating painful. like they said you dumbass.
