I'm so glad I now know where this song originated, this lady definitely has a emotive and beautiful voice! The first time I heard this song it was from aselin debison and the producers did a celtic/folk style version for her album which I adored because I love celtic music. It's amazing how many different ways its been covered from this original version. It has a such a lovely melody. I enjoyed this alot.
Sinead had a family tragedy about five years ago. Pray for her and her family, and that she might gift us with her voice and music again someday. Maybe we can all help each other heal.
Sinead lohan wrote this song.I believe she had a child..& simply stayed home to raise her child. I love this version...an increadably selfless act to stop a musical career..for your child.Lets hope she has been writing all along& one day ...will record what she wrote..in order to raise her child..Its a very good CD..It would be nice to hear new music from her.
This was "our" song - played it for her and she loved it. And now she's gone and I feel so empty. Perfection, just like her. I'll never forget her. I just wish I could've been good enough for her.
I don't know about buying her cds anymore, I'm lucky I have them though. She suffered family tragedy a few years ago and hasn't been seen or heard playing since. As much as I would love to hear her again, I do respect her privacy and loss.
I agree with all of the sentiments posted here. I was fortunate enough to catch here back to back nights at Shubas in Chicago. Can't figure what has happened to her. Unbelievable tracks!
I saw her in Cahirseveen, County Kerry, Ireland in the summer of 1995 (I think it was 1995). She played on the small stage during a street party. It was wonderful. Back in Germany I bought her CD "Who do you think I am" which is one of my favorite CDs since then.
I love Sinead Lohan! Saw her at a tiny pub in Cambridge, MA in 1998 and it was probably the best performance I've seen before or since. We had 'you're in my love' as our first wedding dance as well, I do hope she'll come back to us soon!

different maybe, better? well that's a matter of opinion. I Believe Sinead wrote it so this stands by itself, Nickel Creeks version is nice though.
