I don't get the dubbing. Here in Finland we watch the subtitles, why do you have to dub everything? It's unrealistic at least because they don't speak italian in L.A and also this isn't the way black guys speak.

If you guys learned to read, dubbing wouldn't be necessary :) The reason why you'll need to live for 2 years in an English speaking country to get the essence of a film like this is because you've never heard much English. We in the subtitling countries have heard English so much in the course of our lives we tend to no longer need subtitles after a few years of watching American/English movies (mostly by the time you're 12 or something). So it's self inflicted...

True, i live in the netherlands and i could understand english when i was about 12 or 13 (18 now) Due to the fact back then nothing got dubbed, just subtitles.

by the age of 14 i started to watch movies without Subs and i could follow them with a bit of concentration.

Anyway, i watch every movie in Italian and in his original language with CC.

I Have to admit that the original voices are often just the best.

In fact i prefer to watch on streaming the TV Serial before translation with CC than with Italian voices. I Think there's a lot of particulars that will be missed on the translation.

I've got the pulp fiction english version too but i can't get the essence because the english intonation is far from the italian one. I like it but i'd have to live in america for 2 years to get its essence. I can get one thing that in the italian version was not taking into account: Ving got a typical black dry voice while here is too hot and deep.
