  • The Future Has Already Happened ;)

  • cyberpunk is more than matrix, gost in the shell or terminator. Almost all the apocalyptic technology that cyberpunk characterize as dangerous will converge over 2040, invisibility suits, smart robots, artificial organs, spy nanomachines, oil peak, global warming, metals disperssion, minimal biodiversity, starvation, time when the rate of profits from technology will generates more problems than solutions. Just think the new problems generated with invisibility!, new laws, new crimes.

  • @bizbite2 theyre not gonna make invisibility suits because law almost always comes first so unless something can detect invisible suits, theyre not gonna go public with that.

  • GHOST IN THE SHELL!! :)

  • §:§_----C-Y-B-E-R____P-U-N-K---------_§:§

  • This is all well and good but when I am using my shitty slow ass computer not sure how much of it will ever become true.

  • what is this music name?????????????????????/

  • 1:45 what anime was that

  • @AZURA888 :) you forgot more police brutality and a more corrupt government

  • @AZURA888 youre 100 percent right its the way its looking already

  • @AZURA888 ive thought about that too, but not in the destructive sense. with many kids my age being obsessed with fb, mtv, their ipods, texting, and other shit, thats gonna have repercussions in the future. technology in america has made many americans take the easy way out more often. and has also made become more lazier and spoiled.

  • Whoooooah 3:45 is the best part of Terminator 3.... I like when he kills that bitch

  • You can add deus ex human revolution now

  • Which show is 1:41-1:48 from? Looks interesting.

  • @BleakCabaler Second Renaissance (part 1 or 2 I can't remember offhand) on the 'The Animatrix' DVD.

  • 1:04 = boobies

  • where is Avalon here?

  • whats the name of this song?

  • Can someone list all the movies that these clips are from?

  • @pyroteque Most of them are from the Matrix and the AniMatrix. Ghost in the Shell, Terminator (the sucky third one) and the movie that only shares the title of the book it is supposedly based off of I, Robot.

  • I demand Appleseed. That shit is cyberpunk to the nth degree of awesomeness.

  • matrix is fucking horrible.first was alright but they jumped the shark with the sequels.

  • there are some science fiction writers who were called the founders of cyberpunk...

like greg bear for starters :p. those books are 10 times better then most of the movies out there...

  • I love designing clothes for discos. Especially to this kind 1:00. Thanks for uploading this moment! Clothes from Matrix are so inspiring!

  • Nice editing dude !

  • @cyborgangster Real Cyber-Punk is is NOT supported by Hollywood conjuring up imagery with CGI, or even animators doing stuff. It starts in the imagination then goes live. Much like real Punk in which the individuals in that culture really are Punk's 24/7, living in poverty, begging, in the streets, homeless. Cyberpunks gathered the remnants of technology and wore them, found new uses for them, broke into mainfraims, etc. etc. WITHOUT the help of big budget Hollywood+animators. They did exist.

  • @wendileona

Cyberpunk already exists in real life.

High tech societies, hackers, data pirates, government work in secret, patriot act, illigal wiretapping, war. terrorism, economic troubles which all contribute to the cyberpunk genere which is high tech low life.

Cyberpunk is a sci-fi genere and not soume group of people/anarchists.

  • @PhreakStep

A lot of people depend on virtual worlds such as second life because they earn money from it and have companies there.

For crying out loud we even have cyber sport competitions like CPL or CAL in which people who play games such as Quake earn 100 000$ and have sponsors.

  • @PhreakStep Data pirates? HIgh tech societies? All that sounds canned and a little too Hollywood. Patriot Act has nothing to do with Cyberpunk.

At its core Cyberpunk is about taking existing taken for granted technologies and re-purposing them. The spirit of Cyberpunk is taking over, subvertly, without it being known. Right now, in the media, Cyberpunk is happening. I won't point it out but if you knew about CP and its true nature, you can see at work. Right now, in recent events.

  • @wendileona

All I know is that cyberpunk is a sci-fi genere that shows high-tech societies or should I say computers, virtual worlds, internet etc... and low life standard which is war, dictatorship, economic collapse, plauges etc...

Patriot act is a legal wiretapping basicly it is used to pervent terror but by that they can listen even to your phone calls which makes kinda totaliterian.

Btw Happy new year to you.

  • @PhreakStep CP is about LOW-tech, discarded reused, repurposed technology, either to do subversive activities or for as simple as just tech-hobbies. Terrorism is an ideology. CP is a dystopic existence, only because of the decadence surrounding the individuals.

Hollywood did a lot specifically when Cyberpunk and "Virtual Reality" became mid-90's fads and they jumped on it ruining what CP was really about.

Although there is ONE movie that I think really represents CP - 82's Blade Runner. HNY!

  • communism is right wing. its the total opposite of anarchism. go google it ^^.

  • @Pellinore1990

No, actually it isn't. Leninism? Yes. Stalinism? Absolutely. Statist Communism? Of course... its what is often being fought against. Communism is proletarian. The idea of a vanguard party is right wing. Anarchism and communism are actually not far apart at all. Infact they are the same thing past the Dictatorship of the Proletarit. Real communism doesn't have a state. The people destroy the state as its only use is creating a caste system and protecting capitalist interests.

  • I never bought into the common cyberpunk theme of corps having more power than governments in RL but in cyberspace this is plausible. Since everyone will socialize/relax (and some even work) in cyberspace then the rules set down by the corporations who provide the hosting at the datacentres will matter more than government rules. If you infringe upon their rules they could ban you from their cyberspace instances and hence cut you off from socializing with your friends and possibly work.

  • @rlilewis

Wouldn't cyberpunk anarchy, or even cyberpunk with sovereign/self-sufficient areas, be more plausible? Many times I get the feeling that cyberpunk is the average science-fiction dystopia with some raver music thrown in, lol.

  • @Guitarscreech06

Yeah I would say that cyberpunk is leftist (anarchist/communist) resistance to the distopia that capitalism, fascism, and corpratocracy, mingled and managed by new technology creates.

  • @Deulineum anarchist maybe communism no way man... they are more independent than anything not getting into any political views

  • @locolalo1364

What do you mean? Anarchism and communism go hand in hand. I'm talking about real communism here; the Commune de Paris being the only real example. Anarchists and communists were originally factions of the same belief system. Infact most leftist ideologies were anarcho-communist. The rift came with the creation of statist communism (the Soviet union) that was in actuality authoritarian and no way at all what Marx proclaimed in the Communist Manifesto.

  • anarchy and communism hand in hand? what? those couldnt be more the opposite of each other.

  • @rlilewis

    Why?

I can name you 10000 of corperations with more power then the government.

I don't know whats the case in US but here in Europe you have them especialy in Eastren part of Europe

  • @PhreakStep no no no, here in europe the drug mob is in control...and i am serious. and just think of it..why do you think america goes fighting in the highest producers of heroin lol? heroin is the mind control drug. just give it a try sometime...its like having sex with god and you don't give a damn.

  • @Pellinore1990

I am from Europe :D (SLOVENIA FTW)

Here in my country the corp. tycoons have politicians and other government officials on the weekly payroll or control them via blackmail.

And btw isnt drug mob corporation?

They produce "goods" they import, export, have their own employees, have competition etc...

Every corperation that is involved in doing illigal stuff is orginazed crime.

Here almost every "mega corp" is.

  • @PhreakStep

We are just like the Russians.

    Tycoons there are mostly ex-KGB

In Slovenia they are mostly ex-UDBA which is the same as KGB.

But thats because we had a similar regime Communism/Socialism

    USSR/Yugoslavia.

  • Humm. Do the star wars movies count as cyberpunk?

  • @JackOFBlades111 How come? I'm new to cyberpunk stuff so please forgive me :D

  • @FriedEggsInTheSky Well, now that I think about it, the Original Trilogy can be considered Cyberpunk, as the empire uses technology to oppress people, my bad.

  • @JackOFBlades111 Ah right. I get it now. Cheers.

  • oh and btw DEATH TO ANDROIDS!!!

  • yo can anyone tell me what anime film it is at 4:30?

I have so got to watch that!

  • You are always online.

    You are always connected.

    And you are always available.

What's the big difference whether these circumstances come from some plugs in your head or from a little machine you always carry around with you?

    The future is now.

  • Thinking about it, the only thing we don't share with cyberpunk today is some technology, which was an essentialy but not the most important part of cyberpunk literature.

Look at modern society. Then look at cyberpunk societies.

I think you could call it alienation.

Realism and virtual reality are flowing into each other more and more. Just think of social networks or the latest smart phone which lets you interact with said virtual world, anywhere, at anytime.

    #MESSAGE_CYBERPUNK

  • Cyberpunk is not dead...it just smells that way :P

  • Cool vid, and music well done.

  • i love cyberpunk, but this is pretty much all from the matrix, which isnt bad, but its not the best.

  • No scenes from Hackers?

    I am disappoint.

  • i just contacted cyberpunk comics, and asked them if they could make a cyberpunk version of Iron Man, even though Marvel already owns it.

  • Let's be honest: Cyberpunk is becoming slowly reality. It's the best prediction of the future to date, with its anxiety-attack provoking hallucinating pulp-tech world....

  • @enntess hopefully in the future, nanotech wont kill us all, that's probably the worst/best adaptation of a weapon........

  • I hope they will make a Blade Runner 2 , it's one of my dream.

  • i dont like cyberpunk. i like steampunk=)

  • shit im sooo obssesed with cyberpunk genre, im even starting my own novel

  • @pauleuro16 so am i

  • what is anime? 1:27

  • @antimedicado

It's "The Second Renaissance, part 1" from The Animatrix.

    ------------------------------

Es "El segundo Renacimiento, parte 1" de Animatrix, si hablas español miralo en español latino, no se si la traduccion es exacta pero es diferente de la traduccion en castellano.

  • @Anddromedda aa gracias :)

  • oh yeah , this is it , love it :)

  • Just to interject here - Bono's character The Fly and that whole Zoo TV thing was a partly inspired by and in a way is Cyberpunk.

  • @wendileona Hm. That's interesting. I'm a pretty big U2 fan and I've never heard that before. Intriguing.

  • @ExZeOhBeEmVee The whole Zoo TV thing was Cyberpunk. Just in a U2 way.

  • Cyberpunk Documental + Be part of it.

I'm looking for real fans/cineasts/writters of cyberpunk who want to appear on my shorfilm,Send a video, using regular camera, webcam etc.

Upload your videos to some site like medifire or megaupload..or youtube why not..and contact me here plz.Thanx

  • Cyberpunk Documental + Be part of it.

I'm looking for real fans/cineasts/writters of cyberpunk who want to appear on my shorfilm,Send a video, using regular camera, webcam etc.

  • most of these video clips have nothing to do with cyber punk

  • nice

  • were can you buy this game if anyone knows please send me a personal message

  • What game???

  • song?

  • Read the description... Its Juno Reactor - Biot Messiah

  • cyberpunk will be IRL 2025 onwards imo

  • that requires punks who fight the system. Most punks just act cool but do nothing.

  • @nemesisurvivorleon

    Tsh........ Idiot....

  • or present day if you live in Japan

  • agreed.

  • "Deux Ex" my personal favorite :) Cyberpunk is the new begging

  • @TheDM75: I totally agree with you. We were analyzing Assembly code back in 1994 when the first forms of Cyberpunks were starting to appear having in mind all the American and German hacking teams. Still, many believe that the next big war will be like all the others. WRONG: WW3 will take place in Cyberspace. Just play Deus Ex and watch movies like Swordfish, Matrix, War Games. I leave out Terminator movies because they are focused more on Robotic Warfare...

  • When is v2.0 coming?

  • ORGASMIC...

  • whats the movie at 1:00

  • @kmkirste it's "the Animatrix" a short anime film based on "the Matrix"

  • @antegamhsouyutube I know the clips from the animatrix. Im asking about the live action clip playing from 1:00 to 1:09. Anyone know what movie its from?

  • @kmkirste it's matrix 3 or 2

  • @kmkirste matrix 3 hell club scene (begining of the movie)

  • The sky above the port was the color of television, tuned to a dead channel.

  • extreme cyberpunk leads to human degradation.

  • Extreme human degradation leads to cyberpunk.

  • the cyberpunk's not dead.

    the cyberpunk just beginning...

  • @cyborganster: that's right ...

  • Whether cyberpunk is not dead as a literary subgenre remains to be seen. That cyberpunk is now beginning to be seen outside of novels, in real life, is without question.

  • I think people tend to say it's dead because the fears that existed 10-20 years ago, with respect to technology, are no longer as founded. Hopefully this isn't completely true though, because I really miss the genre and wish it would make a comeback. The future's starting to look pretty freaky again. :P

  • @cyborgangster had "cyberpunk" tattooed on my arm for nearly 10 yrs along with a cobra on oposite arm in the plisske style from the original new york film poster

  • @cyborgangster future is now ^^

  • @cyborgangster

we have barely reached its begining.. merely the concept of its arrival...

i cant wait t osee what hapens in the next 50yrs...

  • @Lynium Personally I think the idea of "jacking into the matrix" will become a reality in the next 50-100 years using some kind of neural interface; nothing as crude as that seen in the matrix film itself, possibly utilizing nanomachines and wireless technology. In the IT sector we are on a march towards "cloud computing" and combined with super fast fibre connections people will probably spend more time in cyberspace hosted by datacentres where there are no national boundaries.

  • Comment removed

  • What was the movie at 1:10?

  • The Animatrix

  • Ghost in the Shell and The Animatrix is one of my favs ^_^ <33

  • "Your flesh is a relic, a mere vessile. Give us your flesh and a new world awaits you. We demand it"

  • Make a new version! 1.1 :D

  • well not really, but the philosophy of cyberpunk is kind of a nightmare like not too distant future, the borderline between flesh, mind and technology is clouded and foggy,so it's often flesh involved.

the thing that made me curious about it is that its actually kind of possible with that kind of technology-flesh combination,so its not so impossible and unbelieveble as normal sci-fi.

  • dear tailsdareaper if you are going to give it a name , define it whatever ,i feel it could be distilled to far more simplistic terms that you have layed out. cyberpunk only uses a sci fi futuristic backdrop, universe as it's the easiest way to get across the existential message of cyberpunk which is basically a skewing of what is real, descartes initial assumptions define it well by accident, cyberpunk does not have to be sci fi , as i've said it's just the most logical backdrop

  • GAWD DAMN IT!

    Propaganda! it is all propaganda!

you flesh-beings always seem to portray the trancenlightend and AI's as evil, or mass murderers...

The E2K only wanted to eradicate the source of numanenesses energy wast.

  • did someone just say something about something they know nothing about?

  • Love cyberpunk! Propably the coolest Sci-fi subgenre ever.

  • @TheEloeo "There is a time in human history in which what once was fictionalized science, becomes reality" - Me

  • ah i love it!

  • The head-smash from 1:24 to 1:30 in combination to the music is just EPIC!

  • no, that would be biopunk, a subgenre or related genre.

  • Has anyone here watched the Cyberpunk Educator documentary?

  • Rivethead! [+_+]/ AWESOME DOOD! I LOVE THIS!

  • This is awesome dood! Five stars!

  • You guys should watch a movie called "Brain Scan." Its not cyberpunk (not sure what you would call it) but it revolves around a computer system that manipulates the mind. Its a mid 90s movie.

  • The City Of Lost Children is also a "Steam Punk" movie. Worth watching. However, that's more to do with visuals than any theme. Cyberpunk focuses on man-machine interface whereas steam punk is mostly just fantasy.

  • Steampunk: Last exile, Wild wild west, metropolis (is cyberpunk too), Steamboy, final fantasy 6, 7 (not Midgar)...

    Dieselpunk: Fallout 3, Bioshock...

Cyberpunk: Blade runner, Matrix, Akira, Mad max, Snatcher, Policenauts, Starcraft, Total recall, Outland, A clockworth orange, Final fantasy 7 (midgar), Liquid sky, Deus ex, Dystopia, Half life, Unreal, Burst city, Judge Dredd, Soylent Green...

Cyberprep: Mirror´s edge, Minority report, Gattaca, AI, The island, Robot I...

  • You have forgotten classic Cyberpunk - Neuromancer, Count Zero and Mona Liza Turbo

  • Of course, and Burst City, Max Headroom, INfamous and Prototype too!!

  • Mad Max is post-apocalyptic dieselpunk. Most aspects of the Fallout games are based on the Mad Max series.

  • yeah, even the Raiders look like they were taken right out of the films.

  • Yeah man even the dog companion is exactly the same, same spots and everything.

  • Another cyberpunk movie is Outland, The movie where space miners explode in vaccuum. (Although this is not true)

  • i luved the matrix

  • hey what movie was 7:24 from?

  • Terminator 3

  • very cool

  • Nice music&vid

  • looks very cool. but im more of a steampunk man. but cyberpunk looks cool.

  • Great!! d^ ^b

    Synthetical Blood Injection!

A perfect sample about Cyberpunk Ideology!

    ★★★★★ 5/5

  • Nice :)

  • Ghost in the Shell is a perfect example of Cyberpunk imo. i love it :)

  • good 4 u

  • jmcmarq stfu douchebag
