  • People talking about the accurate size and features of Dimetrodon has to remember that the prehistoric creatures on skull island were still evolving after the rest died out millions of years ago, so no telling where evolution would of took these animals size and features!

And I think this clip was a good effort myself.

  • Fail... Dimetrodon wasn't so big and so rigid. Think clearly, it was technically lizard. It walks like robot, not like living animal.

  • Dimetrodon wasn't that big.

  • what kinda scale figures are you using?

  • dimetrodon was funny

  • @Siiimon2341 not that funny

  • wheres the full film?

  • Holy fucking Christ!

Really cool. It ignited my fear centres. Very well done!

  • dimetrodon sounded like a dog kinda...lol.

  • Hang on a second! That cave ledge there is the same one from Kong's lair!

  • @Moseslawgiver no it isnt

  • @chriscross584

    Yes. Yes, it is.

  • @Moseslawgiver no no it isnt thats the marble cavern

  • @chriscross584 No. It is the lair from the original with a new background there at 0:18.

  • @Moseslawgiver u are really wrong the lair from the origanal wasnt facing left diagnol

  • FUCKING awesome!!! man this is so cool nice movie scene

  • ha! you got the sounds from the Robo Rapter toy! XD NICE!

  • Though somewhat crudely animated, this video is rather creative! It shows some worthwhile effort and talent! I liked the cavern set as well! All told, very nicely done!

  • 2:07 - Look at that Triceratops skull. So cute! Ja! Ja! Ja! Ja!

  • Dimetrodog...Down boy!

  • This is a beautiful puppet! You've got quite a project going here.

  • thank you, John Barnett made the puppet, he is excellent

  • can I ask a reeeeaaallly big favor? could you send me a couple of stop motion puppets if I pay for them?

  • Comment removed

  • of course, I will send them back when I am done filming with them

  • i think its a no...

  • PELYCOSAUR

  • what r the clips in order??

  • 1.Kong vs. Pack of Raptors

    2.Dimetrodon attack

    3.T.rex attack

    4.Kong vs Deinosuchus

    5.Kong's Lair (V8)

    6.Kong vs Pre-Historic Vulture

    7.Spinosaurus attack

    8.Kong vs Spinosaurus

but a new Kong vs. Pre-Historic Vulture will be added in a few days

  • @Kingkongkessler you haven't done the kong vs deinosuchus yet. now that would be awesome

  • You made this yourself? That's pretty neat.

The Dimetrodon is way oversized, though. It was like 10 feet long and its sail would most likely reach to a grown man's shoulders.

  • thanks, and artistic license on his size...lol aren't all the animals on Skull Island a tad oversized?

  • the biggest dimetrodon species was hugge, at least 4 meters.

  • @Kingkongkessler

    Lol,yeah

  • @GeneralSecura - the largest and most advanced dimetrodon species may have gotten to 5 meters.

  • @GeneralSecura I read somewhere that Dimetrodon was about the size of a hippopotamus. So, yeah it's over-sized, but not by much

  • I know plesiosaurs wasnt a dinosaurs.

but they'er cool all the same.

  • its spelled P-L-E-S-I-O-S-A-U-R

  • You do know that Dimetrodon wasn't a dinosaur, but a reptile that went extinct before the dinosaurs existed. Right?

  • is there going to be raptors in this film?

  • yes, in the beginning for one scene

  • that was a bit entertaining in a funny kind of way, but why is the dimetrodon so huge?

  • thanks, I guess

    oh and

    cause it's make believe

  • WOW how do you make this stop animation

  • and you messed it up because dimetrodon dont just start eating eat they take out thge flesh

  • no offense but I don't understand what you just wrote

  • neither do i.

but how would you know how a dimetrodon ate and what it ate?

  • no offense but that was pritty violent

  • thanks, I was going for violent, it is a pre-historic beast

  • Comment removed

  • how did you make the sail and where did you get the sounds?

  • John Barnett made the Dimetrodon and did a great job with him, the sound effects I have taken from websites or made them myself, depending on what I needed

  • cool! i want to make a dimetrodon now!

how did you make the teeth?

  • his teeth are the ends of toothpicks glued into the gums and then painted

  • where did you get the original king kong music?

oh, and you didnt want any dinosaurs in the old king kong in yours right?

well then you cant make a plesioasur.

not the thing in the lake the plesiosaur is in kongs lair. it looks like a snake but its got flippers. you could make a plesioasur but im just letting you know. reddalek555

  • I have the original King Kong sound-tract by Max Steiner

  • This is very interesting! Who was the girl the Dimetrodon killed? Was she a Skull Islander?

  • no, she was one of a crew that washed up on the Island, a ship gets caught in a storm and sinks, 4 lifeboats are dispatched, only 3 make it to the Island, 2 land on different parts of the beach and this one lands inside Skull Mountain

  • This is great. Its like King Kong vs. Monty Python.

  • thanks, I think?

  • I like it.

  • thanks

  • SO FINE! How about a TRAILER for a planned pic?

The sleeping dinosaur... how DID Dimmy sleep?

I must say I still love them in "Journey to the Center of the Earth" and especially "Unknown Island"

  • These videos are cool. Where can I see the finished product?

  • thanks, when I'm finished the prequel I'll announce it and it will be available on DVD

  • Good to hear - your Kong is very fluid and well done.

  • thank you

  • Hey Kessler, will you still animate for my Kong remake?

  • sure

  • lol

  • Sound FX were rather funny, SIT! STAY! BAD DIMETRODON!

  • Awesome job, Kess, as usual!!! Great use of sounds, the grunting really makes it!

  • thanks Groo

  • cool job add more creatures

  • will do, there are plenty more in the whole movie

  • More great work, Kess!' Keep 'em coming!!!

  • thanks shran, will do

  • Nice work. I really like the Dimetrodon, the Dinosaur with the Dorsal fin along the top of his back...

  • thanks, John Barnett made the puppet and did a fantastic job
