  • It's very kind of you to respond to each comment - thank you. The film held more poetry and feeling than many feature-length films. Keep up the good art!

  • I love movies like this :( You know it can be simple and not Hollywood quality but it still has meaning to it. Maybe I did not fully understand it but I can relate to it a lot.

    Thank you. :]

  • This is the movie that a scale is much smaller in comparison with Hollywood.

However, I have people in the world look in this way and am glad very much.

    Thank you!!!

  • Wonderful and touching video, it made me happy and sad at the same time. Thanks for sharing it, as it's much more honest and satisfying then watching the presidential elections.

I'm sorry, if I confuse you.

    Thank you.

  • This was such a sweet story!!! I live in Fukui-shi and am proud that Obama-shi is in my prefecture!!!!!

    (^_^)

  • I live a suburb of Fukui-shi, too. Obama is 100km away from here distantly, but there is a very beautiful town. Please go by all means.

  • Oh, thank you. I want to continue taking a movie with a feeling "I am a retard, greenhorn, and to be a challenger", forever.

  • Very good :]

Hehehe i want to live in Obama, Japan. What a cool name for a city

  • Thanks. "小浜" means "little beach". It's really coincidence.

  • I like this!It's very good.

  • A Ri Ga To!! very much.

    Morikawa, Fukui, Japan

  • This is a very beautiful movie you have made. I enjoyed watching it! I clicked on the link thinking that "obama" had something to do with the USA presidential election. You tricked me! Just kidding, anyway I like your movie very much ^_^

  • Sorry, I tricked you...:D :D

The reason ... is because I hope that people in the world know that Japanese Oboama is beautiful...

    Thank you!

    Morikawa, Japan

  • Wow, the video makes me want to go there. I liked the story, too, it was very calming. Your videos are really well made, Yoichiro.

  • Obama contacts with the sea, but it is surrounded in a peninsula. Therefore Obama is a calm, quiet town.

If you can come to Japan, please come to Obama!

    Thank you.

    Morikawa Yoichiro, Japan

  • Yes Kashiwazaki of Niigata. I looked up on Google earth and found Fukui but could not find Obama.

  • Oh,no...It may be difficult for you to find it in Google earth because Obama is a small town. The population,Fukui-shi is 270,000, Obama-shi is 30,000...

There is Tsuruga in the north of Lake Biwa-ko, and Maizuru is the west of Lake Biwa-ko.

There is Obama at Tsuruga and the middle of Maizuru.

In wikipedia, please search it with keyword "Obama, Fukui".

  • Actually I read the story in the Japan Times. I'm in Kashiwazaki for work until may. So I have been watching Japanese TV and I watch your movie to try to learn Japanese language and culture.

  • Oh, thanks very much.

Actually, I'm trying to learn English, too.

Kashiwazaki..? Is it Kashiwazaki of Niigata?

    I live in Fukui-city, it's southwest 300km from Kashiwazaki.

Furthermore, Obama is southwest 100km from Fukui-city.

  • Interesting movie, I only heard of Obama the town because there was a story in the Paper about the town endorsing Barack Obama. I was looking up a SNL skit when I found this short film. So was this movie made for a class or just for fun?

  • I thank for your words called "Interesting movie".

I made this movie in 2004.

Then four years passed, and I knew that much American Medea delivered Japanese Kohama recently.

  • When American all of you could stream down that it was a town beautiful at all as for Japanese Kohama by using "You Tube", I prayed for me.

I added a "SNL" word to "Tags", so that it was the opportunity when many people found this video.

So do noodles, and this has nothing to do with "SNL skit", sorry... :)

    Thank you. :)

    Morikawa Yoichiro, Fukui, Japan

  • Japanese Obama is the town where the sea and the sky and the tree are beautiful.

Thanks to the "coincidence", I am glad that a person except Japan watched my picture.

    Thank you.

    Morikawa Yoichiro, Fukui, Japan

  • Beside the coincidence of a US presidential candidate's name, Obama in Japan is a beautiful town.
