  • What an jerk!! A board member's salary is NOBODYS business except the boards'.

Huck, you'll never ever be President.

Man, you don't even know what you're are talking about you pseudo-socialist crackpot.

  • ok,so I support Ron Paul. I think Huckabee is for the most part a neo-con and a liar. HOWEVER

whoever posted this video and put that title on it is disgusting. There is a lot of true dirt out there on Huckabee, but this isn't part of it. Don't make up stuff, please, and don't try to create bullshit that isn't there.

One star, not for the video's message but for the title.

  • VERY MISLEADING TITLE. That's not at all what he says. He said regulation would be a disaster. He said the market should regulate and the government should publicize the abuse. Don't markets work better, the better informed people are? There is a difference between informing and regulating. The interviewer kept pushing him to go there and he refused.

  • Regulating boards and salaries is "last resort?" That's code for do it.

  • Check out Huckabees interview with Larry King with Chuck Norris. Huckabees son was accused of molesting a dog. Huckabee defends him by saying he made Eagle Scout a week later. I knew there was something insidious about the Boy Scout.

  • As far as I'm concerned, Huckabee's right about the role the government should play in determining corp. salaries: none. Not "slim-to-none", but absolutely none. We'll end up either fascist or totalitarian if you start in effect marrying the corporations with the government. We have workers unions and the civil court system for a reason.

  • Lets twist numbers. Taxes in his state went up 47% and all other states went up 98%. Wow He raised taxes Good point. Releasing a rapist? Not like the parole board had anything to do with that. College deal was if the students became US citizens and their grades. 173,772 people in 1993 living with aids and 362,827 by 2001. The CDC could have nipped this in the butt. The devil is in the details isn't it?

  • Huckabee is so naive.

"get corporate boards to start policing themselves"

Good luck with that one, Mike. xD

  • Huckabee would quarantine greedy corporate board members next to the Aids patients he wants to quarantine, Unless of course god says no to him.

  • Ok, there's a difference between "all but rule it out" and "government should regulate corporate salaries". It seems like you are trying to twist words around to suit your agenda.

  • He's a real good politician....that's the problem. How disingenuine can you get?

  • Way to pander

  • Canadian comedian, Rick Mercer, was doing a program about dumb Americans, search "Talking to Americans", there Huckabee says really dumb shit, it is short, but reveals his IQ level.

  • Are you seriously shaping your opinion form a Canadian political satire show? And whose IQ is low? I am glad there are people like you against Huckabee.

  • If he thinks this is going to get him elected, he is mistaken.

  • What workers in the oil industry are taking pay cuts? I guess when I think of workers I think of the field hands or engineers. Who really cares about the 5 baggage handlers and gate agents?

  • Non-assholes.

  • Title is complete bullshit.

  • HUCKABEE IS A LIAR AND HATES WOMEN

  • You are right the title of this video is misleading, but it does raise some interesting issues about his stance on thefree market.

I wonder if he would change his tune if he was adressing a labor union instead of CNBC.

  • The title is not fair on this video. Because he said he does not support Government regulating salaries and they should regulate themselves and should be called out when something is wrong. like a 300 Million bonus for the executives while people in that same company are being laid off.. What are you a Ron Paul supporter?

  • Another perfect answer from Mr. Huckabee.

    Damn this guy is good.

Rudy, Mitt, Asta la Vista. I don't want polished politicians..

McCain do/say something to impress me. Your still a real American Hero.

Ron Step down and stop distracting people your followers are like a damn cult and they are ruining your good reputation.

  • It's cultish to be politically active, to actually want to vote FOR someone and not just AGAINST someone?

If that's the case I proud to be cultic.

  • Tell me is it right for Ron Paul wackos to show up to Mitt's, Rudy's, Mc Cain's, Huckabee's or any other candidates' speeches and disrupt them. If you are struggling to answer this the correct answer is no.

And it's those people that have lost the election for Ron Paul.

Pollster(dot)com has him at (4.2%) with little to no increase.

  • Yet another anti-free speech neocon.

hahaha, hey buddy, check out the Q4 fundraising and tell me who's winning. I think Huckabee has about 4.2% of what Paul does.

  • I take it your answer is yes other candidates speeches should be interrupted. And you throw around the freedom of speech as if it pertains to your right to be an ass to others.

It is sad when people like you take the words freedom of speech and apply them to no one but themselves.

So, Huckabee raised 1/4 of what Ron Paul raised and Ron Paul is still losing.

  • I think the answer is Ron Paul supporters will do whatever it takes to get the message out. This is politics and more importantly this is a Revolution. But free speech is a two way street. Why dont you guys show up at our rallies for a little lively debate? Oh that's right, you guys don't really have any grassroots, boots on the ground support, do you?

And RP is losing? I'm sorry could you repeat that? All i hear was Bahhh Bahhh Bahhh. Now back to your flock little sheeple.

  • You managed to capture the attitudes of every lunatic Ron Paul support except for blaming 9/11 on the US and his CFR New World order crap, his hatred for Jews and Blacks and lack of intervention in Iran's nuclear programs, and opposing the Child abduction prevention act. You got yourself a real wiener there. Good luck with your revolution.

  • You just said he had a good reputation, now you are attacking him? Explain...

  • Ohh my I'm a hypocrite. What shall I do.

Damn people, Ron Paul does things with good intentions. But, the road to hell is paid with good intentions isn't it. He has a standing reputation as being a loyal person and true to his conviction. But that's only half his problem. He's just like President Bush in sticking to his guns whether he's right or wrong and that's not always a bad trait but in Ron's conspiracy world it doesn't win elections.

  • What principles does the President use? He planned to go to war with Iraq from the beginning, while running on a campaign of non-intervention. There are positively no similarities. You are blinded by words, and miss the obvious actions that seperate the two men. All along George Bush was never, EVER prepared to do take the job his father held. And the prinicples you think he uses are just governed by what he thinks, rather then congress or the american people.

  • Bringing up the race card, eh? That shit doesnt work without evidence. You piece of shit fear mongerer.

  • This guy's got so much baggage it's comical that the media are propping him up. I guess he's a good enough distraction. At least he takes some heat from the hawks for a while.

  • Great answer Governor Huckabee, keep up the good job. GO HUCKABEE

  • He said he would call attention to it, not get government involved in it.

  • He said, "If they're in the position to give the CEO a 300 million bonus, they should be asking the baggage handlers and the gate agents to take 40% pay cuts."

Top heavy salary distribution may be a poor business practice, but someone who is truly a small government advocate would say to leave that decision in the hands of the businesses themselves, not in the hands of governments.

  • I misquoted Huckabee it should read:

He said, "If they're in the position to give the CEO a 300 million bonus, they _shouldn't_ be asking the baggage handlers and the gate agents to take 40% pay cuts."

  • Great response to this idiot, Mike. I know it is very difficult to explain yourself when you are trying to discourse, and answer questions to a baffoon. Stay on the trajectory of upward and positive politics Mike; vertical politics. It pisses these journalist off!

  • Mike is great, people comparing him to Edward need to realize that populism is a style that can be attached to far left and right wing policies... Huckabee with this respons clearly showed he is RIGHT!

  • I don't want to regulate..but here is how we should regulate...(head explodes)

  • OMG these guys just get dumber and dumber. I feel like I'm living in an Idiocracy. It's not the role of government to cap people's salaries. Promote a free market and corporate salaries will be regulated by the free market. If a company is paying it's executives too much then they won't be as competetive as the next corporation and will need to reduce those salaries to compete. The problem we have is monopolies - those are anti free market.

  • Huckabee is NOT for capping salaries, I think he could be the next Teddy Roosevelt in that he is a trust buster though.

  • He just said he was for controlling in the last 10 seconds of the interview.

With Republicans like these, who needs Communists?

  • ugh why do i get the feeling that huckabee's been copying Ron a lot lately

  • becuase he knows the message is powerful but he just wants to win. remember those people who like him think bush is doing a good job. he does pose the biggest problem for Ron Paul. he is really a clinton democrat and we need to get the public to see that. MIKE HUCKABEE IS REALLY A CLINTON DEMOCRAT!

  • Huckabee has always been a small government conservative. He is a conservative however, Ron Paul is a libertarian. People have not given Huckabee enough credit for being a small market conservative, they here is populist phraseology and they instantly assume he is John Edwards or they hear is small government reform talk and they think he is Ron Paul. All along he has consistently been Mike Huckabee, the one we need as President.

  • I dont' believe in government regulating people's income, but he's absolutely right about CEO salaries and bonuses. They've gotten to the point of being absurd. To ask workers to accept pay cuts in order to make the fat cats even fatter is shameful.

  • Yea, I am glad he is pointing it out but knows that regulation is not the answer, however, we can stop th subsidies that are not lowering our costs and de-regulate the tax cod that makes these CEO's over priced in the first place.

  • You know who has the right to control corporate salaries? The share holders. Unless the gov has a majority of shares in a corp., they should keep the hell out of it. The only role gov has in corp matters is to hear cases and controversies raised by shareholders, or to address criminal acts perpetrated by directors, or their employees.

  • Misnomer on the title - a careful listener would hear Mr. Huckabee say he would not regulate corporate salaries.

  • "All BUT rule it out", "only as a last resort" kind of keeps the door open for federal regulation if Mike thinks it's needed.

  • this is one of the oldest tricks in the book it makes people think he will not but when he does he will say "I told you I would not rule it out". he is dishonest as they come , kind of reminds me of bill clinton. clinton does this type of thing a lot. HUCKABEE IS A CLINTON TYPE OF DEMOCRAT. he is the old style democrat from the first 2/3 of the 20th century. look it up you will see his picture.

  • No, he actually said that Government regulation is the worst thing ever and that there are free market ways that it must be handled. His part is to be the megaphone and the one who reforms the tax code so CEO's are not made more valuable then they should be.

  • The title of this is wrong if you take a minute to listen. This should be named Huckabee: Government Should NOT Regulate Corporate Salaries. Let at least try to be honest here.

  • Wow I guess the Club for greed don't want to be shamed into realistic salaries!! All he is talking about is shaming the country club republicans. people that have nothing to hide cant be shamed!!

  • OK...fist of all, you are falling for political tricks. If anyone is quilty in this matter, it is Bill Clinton for allowing his case to go to the parole board in the first place. The tax statement is totally taken out of context, but you'd rather listen to an ad than do the research to find the truth. Please don't vote, for God's sake!!!

  • Actually, I think you are falling for political tricks. Its called pandering. The Huckster is already starting the big FlipFLop. Oh crap, people are liking the less gov't thing now and not socialism? OH, yeah, yeah. Im for less gov't regulation now. Give me a break. The man raised taxes in Ark by 65%, he raised more taxes than Clinton. He took "political" gifts. He cost the taxpayers 70,000 to furnish the governors mansion.

  • parole boards contact the governor when they want his view and at any time he could of said no! he did not he even ignored the pleadings of the victims. huckabee is lying.

  • You are a liar, or misinformed. The parole board was Clinton appointed and they invited him when he was a new Governor for a meet and greet, they took the time to pressure Huckabee into denying clemency which was a small factor in his final decision then they went ahead and paroled Dumond two years later. The people of Arkansas recognized this and voted Huckabee in again as Governor when the smear campaigns flew back five years ago.

  • hey it seems that you have all these videos for gravel but you don't have any for Ron Paul. you sound like a hater. please talk about your candidate if you don't have anything positive to say because anything someone has to say about Ron Paul is definitely positive. show me a candidate who is honest and i will vote for them. Vote Ron Paul 2008!

  • I don't know what this guy has a background in but it isn't business because he really doesn't know what he is talking about.

  • Like when the Huckster distroyed Public data when he left office in AR. 500 + Hard Drives were sent out of state to be distroyed.. What is he hiding??

  • Did he just say.."When the government gets involved, it only get worse"...."The market corrects itself?" Hmmmm. Sounds like RON PAUL talk to me! What a douch.

  • I hope you don't think gov't makes things better. Have you not seen how inefficient the gov't is,,,on almost any scale. I agree with Huckabee's wisdom. Let's get the gov't involved in most issues only as a last resort. Huckabee didn't say anything I don't agree with in this clip. HUCKABEE 2008!!!!

  • Hey Huckee, are you thiniking? How are you going to get big corp. to NOT give themsleves they kind of pay they like without Gov. intervening???? It sounds like out one side of your mouth you do not like gov. involvemnt, but then you almost talk about doing something to stop this corp high salaries.

    Ron Paul for Freedom 2008.

Have you youtubed Ron Paul yet and learn what freedom is?

  • Huckabee sounds pretty good, but i just get the feeling he's kinda like George W. George sounded great in 2000, but once he got into office all we've seen is bigger and bigger government, and less and less liberty. In fact, Bush formed a whole new government department, Homeland Security! Huckabee seems a little too hesitant to rule out those big government solutions. Hopefully I'm wrong, but I'll play it safe and vote for Ron Paul!

  • Huckabee is spot on with this.

  • Huckabee sucks -- Ron Paul all the way!

  • Were you listening? lol

  • How are the salaries of employees in private companies any of Huckabee's business?

  • Huckabee is a socialist! He wants to tell us what to eat, when to exercise, and then he is going to going to tell us what to make. The elites are plugging for Huckabee becuase they know they can beat him.

  • He's just the next CFR shill up to bat to distract people from ron paul.

  • Has nothing to do with the CFR. Huckabee's just doing what the majority of the people in this country want to do. They can't seem to resist the urge to use government force to regulate something that they have no right in which to meddle.

This is not a CFR plot. It's well establish pattern of behavior among Americans today.

  • The title you gave this video is misleading at best. Huckabee clearly states that government should NOT regulate corporations. True, he says that he won't rule out some sort of regulation as a last resort, but keep in mind that the government already regulates corporate behavior through, for example, collective bargaining and labor agreements.
