If you study cases where people are sentenced in our judicial system and are later found innocent by DNA evidence (often for those on death sentence), you'll find that they originally pled guilty for a shorter sentence. Prosecution will offer a shorter sentence to them if they plead guilty but if they plead innocent and get sentenced they have the ability to appeal while serving a longer time in jail

@NYYstateofmind That doesn't give the government the right to deny him trial and detain him for extended periods of time without a warrent. It does allow the government to search his house and it does give the government reasoning to try to convict him, but he still deserves his due process and his day in court.

Lundeby pleaded guilty to conspiracy on Oct. 20, 2010. He admitted participating in similar bomb threat hoaxes targeting 13 schools and universities including Purdue, Florida State and Clemson and FBI offices in Colorado and Louisiana. He was sentenced to 22 months he's already served for threat to Glynn Academy, other schools and FBI offices. HOWEVER, how the authorities dealt with this is deplorable.

@damion1247 actually 53 people googled Ashton Lundeby and found that he plead guilty to making several bomb threats, and was sentenced last year to time served and has been released. 53 people are rose above the instinctual impulse to be afraid of everything. The PATRIOT Act sucks and it COULD be used to remove citizen's rights, but in this case it wasn't. The mother was just doing the typical "my poor little innocent boy" routine.

If you study cases where people are sentenced in our judicial system and are later found innocent by DNA evidence (often for those on death sentence), you'll find that they originally pled guilty for a shorter sentence. Prosecution will offer a shorter sentence to them if they plead guilty but if they plead innocent and get sentenced they have the ability to appeal while serving a longer time in jail

A careful reading of Section 817 of the Patriot Act, “The Expansion of the Biological Weapons Statute,” reveals this to be the umbrella statute which is authorizing this-THE DUAL WATER LINES TO HOMES, this statute is legalizing “delivery systems” and “toxins” under certain circumstances. “Delivery systems” is weapons terminology. “Toxins” are poisons. The statute details when these delivery systems and toxins will be legal.
