It doesn't need a re-jet. One or both of the cdi boxes are pulling too much or too little power. I had the same thing with my vt700. Replaced the cdi box and it was great

@cube60659 Mine does it too. The forums all seems to agree that it's normal and they came from the factory that way (only if it's popping while decelerating, of course).
I often shift up a gear or two if I'm going down a long hill and don't want it popping so badly.
