i cant help but wonder if they should have called off this tour, and let james take a rest from the high notes, and maybe his voice would have repaired better
@Octavius2250 And still can in a good day. Crazy offenders think people can do this sort of stuff over 20 years without consquense. That plus what happened to Labrie's voice...not once but twice... at least i'm glad there are people like you and me who see that bigger picture
@kevintje82onboard wherever you got it from is wrong. he injured it during the awake tour. there are some shows of him singing early in the tour flawlessly. shows like this almost straight after the rupture you'll hear a difference
@Zhunezhen What the hell? This was immediately after the food poisoning accident in Cuba. He was very brave to continue the tour even if his voice was permanently damaged because of him carrying on.

Dannata intossicazione

They played it a key lower to accomodate LaBrie.
BrianSou69 2 months ago
@BrianSou69 This is in the original key.
TFIFH 2 months ago
@TFIFH Nope. Unless there's something wrong with the audio in this video, the key is noticeably lower than the Tokyo 92' performance.
BrianSou69 2 months ago
@BrianSou69 The tuning or the frequency of the audio might be a bit different, but they're still playing in G# minor, which is the original key.

Is this part of the "Awake in Japan" concert the band performed around jan 95?
that would mean it's very few time after James' rupture...

This performance makes me love LaBrie even more than I already do.
MagniPower 3 months ago 3
fair play to LaBrie for carrying on soon after his unfortunate accident with his vocal chords, apart from a few missed notes he sounded very good :)

Awesome to see James go for all the high notes even if he can't get them perfect, it's 100x better to hear him going for it regardless.

I can't believe James chose to continue the Awake tour against doctor's orders... I'm certain that delayed greatly his recovery.

James' voice sounds almost perfect here!! Wish he hadn't had his accident :(
