@MrExperimentable To be honest, this one. LM2. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Luigis Mansion but the Ghosts aren't much different. The make a noise, and attack. The ghosts in LM2 are much more livelier. Also the expressions are better.

@MrExperimentable If you think that makes him the biggest baby in the world, in Super Mario Galaxy he was up a tree in Honeyhive Galaxy from being frightened by a bee, and Mario had to rescue him. Luigi did give him a star he found, though. He was first found in Ghostly Galaxy trapped by the ghosts, and he gave Mario a star when he rescued Luigi. Luigi may be a scaredy-cat (E. Gadd even said so!), but he always gets through to help his friends.

The Music is awesome. The expressions and Animation is just amazing. The Graphics pushed to the limit. The new ghosts have so much character.... Funny, angry etc.

It's not the slightest bit dark, it doesn't feel like the original in any way...

@WoWKlump This is just beta! Do you know how different the beta of the first Luigi's Mansion was from the actual game? Different music, ghosts, reactions, Poltergust style and functions, boos, Game Boy Horror... Luigi's Mansion 2 can definitely be improved with the time being spent on it!

@seismicdisaster I got my 3DS on Christmas, so the trailers were probably before then. If they were part of an E3 set of videos on there, I HATE HATE HATE HATE that the only 2 remaining E3 videos I was able to find after searching were interviews about Zelda! But I will continue to wait.

Tomorrow is the first day of February, and Mario and Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games comes on 2/14. Right now there is a free demo of it available through Nintendo eShop on the 3DS. I didn't download it, but I'm looking forward to a Luigi's Mansion 2 trailer or demo on 3DS. I have yet to see it in 3D...
@ninjimage this is just beta. When I watched Chuggaaconroy's playthrough of Luigi's Mansion, he told major differences from its beta version. Apparently there was a plan to have a meter that would show if the vacuum was overheating, and you would catch fire and lose half health if it did overheat. Chuggaa said he was glad they didn't make the final game like that because it would be really annoying. The meter turned out to be the display for how much of an element you had.

@WindmageZyphos If you want creepy, go to Chuggaaconroy's LP of Luigi's Mansion, get to Episode 3, and watch when Chauncey cries during the battle. The only thing scarier than that is the sprite of Luigi on the save screen! Btw, the new game is made to be more friendly and less scarring(not scaring, scarring. Luigi is sure frightened by lots of ghosts in this part alone!)

@AnimationNationX I find it hard to organize letters into what Kazumi Totaka says while voicing characters. He does Yoshi and Professor E. Gadd, two characters I like a lot. If it was a ghost or someone else who said yhoshnaab, then I was just confused because it seems it would fit into Professor Gadd's "gibberish" type of speech.
I think the new attachment for the 3DS might work for this game if you don't want motion controls. Because if it does then I got that thing for a reason!!

I'm still going to get this game, no doubt. BUT Nintendo...please for fuck sake bring back the original music!!! The new music is AWFUL. Also, please improve on the sound effects.. (The only original sound effect I've seen so far is when you pick up coins! -_-) and the ghosts, they're really cheap looking and it's actually cringy watching Luigi hoover up a ghost on this when you think of how amazing the original on the Gamecube is STILL. :(

I loved this game as a kid and can't wait to play it again but I gotta say I really hope nintendo improve the ghosts cause they're f*****g awful! The only decent ghost iv'e seen is that braniac ghost (mimimi?) and that mental one with the long arms (found the ghost at google images)

@legoman123623 Well, May is mid-2012, not early 2012 like they said. I hope it comes out in March or sometime soon. Tomorrow is the first day of February, and Mario and Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games comes on 2/14. Right now there is a free demo of it available through Nintendo eShop on the 3DS. I didn't download it, but I'm looking forward to a Luigi's Mansion 2 trailer or demo on 3DS. I have yet to see it in 3D...

@ninjimage this is just beta. When I watched Chuggaaconroy's playthrough of Luigi's Mansion, he told major differences from its beta version. Apparently there was a plan to have a meter that would show if the vacuum was overheating, and you would catch fire and lose half health if it did overheat. Chuggaa said he was glad they didn't make the final game like that because it would be really annoying. The meter turned out to be the display for how much of an element you had.

@WindmageZyphos If you want creepy, go to Chuggaaconroy's LP of Luigi's Mansion, get to Episode 3, and watch when Chauncey cries during the battle. The only thing scarier than that is the sprite of Luigi on the save screen! Btw, the new game is made to be more friendly and less scarring(not scaring, scarring. Luigi is sure frightened by lots of ghosts in this part alone!)

@AnimationNationX I find it hard to organize letters into what Kazumi Totaka says while voicing characters. He does Yoshi and Professor E. Gadd, two characters I like a lot. If it was a ghost or someone else who said yhoshnaab, then I was just confused because it seems it would fit into Professor Gadd's "gibberish" type of speech.
