@webdr121 Amazing video, thank you for sharing, what long range system are you using? I am a beginner, so I need help getting the correct hardware. What long range system did you use? How do you keep the video feed strong?
One thing good about flying over and through the clouds is that you won't crash into them and snap a wing off or get stuck there for days or weeks.....lol.
@TonyInGib Thanks! Im using visual from the RVOSD for return, not needed to select RTH yet...
Standard dipoles? Perhaps. Ive always used the IBCrazy cloverleaf and skew planar wheel so Im not sure. I know a diapole on the vtx would work, but you'd need a patch to get any distance on the ground receiver, or a 9.5dbi helical from IBCrazy :)
you didn't just catch a cloud you brought it home with you, the most surreal and touching flight I've seen yet and complemented perfectly by the devine music, thank you I hope you do many more x
@cathburgerqueen Im glad you liked it. I hope to do more. but the summer months are drawing to a close and the puffy white clouds are scarce. If I see some nice fair weather cumulous clouds, rest assured, Ill surf them!

Adding some Rain X on lenses will help collect the water to single drops
Possibly you have done this? There is no fogging
Great flight.

Watched it again ....even better than the first time. Sooooo relaxing. Do you use RTH or visual to get home ?
My 5.8ghz system doesnt allow such height . Could your lawmate do it with standard dipole antennas?

Was this filmed today? The broken clouds were amazing, I had the same thought. Damn shame my plane was not ready.
