2008 and Vista - Setting Up NAT and VPN Server - Part 3

I cannot connect to my server. I have followed every step in each of the videos. Only thing was that I only have one NIC on my server, so it caused me to create a custom one in which I chose VPN and NAT. I created another user and gave him the radio under dial-in as Allow Access. On my Windows 7 laptop I go to connect trying both the local private address and my dyndns.org address. I get error 720: A connection to the remote computer could not be established. Any help would be appreciated.Thanks

I understand why you used IP 192.168.100.100. But where did that IP come from? And why didn't you use sarah.pirates.arrrgh ? How did I find the IP of the VPN I made?  I can not get any computer to connect.

@SweetSoccerMoves That happens to be his VPN gateway on the server from what I gather in the previous parts of this video.

Hi Cgermany77.. I have a question for you an answer would be much appreciate, I am a Jr. Net Engr, and I would like to ask, in the end of this tutorial video, I notice that in the " remote access clients tab under the network access policy services". I notice that yoour client Pirates/administrator has a status of " NAT NAP CAPABLE". I also encounter that error, how can i fix this. Or maybe there;s something wrong with my setup.. thank you I'll wait for a reply..

@cj23santos My guess is the reason it's not NAP Capable is because the Network Address Policy is not set up and the user profile settings for Dial-In are set to "Allow Access", not "Use NAP". You would have to configure NAP and set the user Dial-in access to use NAP for the connection to be NAP Capable. I may be wrong, but that's the only logical explanation I can think of.
