As far as I know the project to port Aircrack to the Iphone has been abandoned/shelved due to various problems with RAM and not being able to properly force the wifi hardware into the monitor-mode needed for sniffing. RAM problem being there isn't enough available to process and decrypt keys at a usable speed, data parsing has been a serious problem in this project and is one that will likely play a huge role in the reasons why we wont be seeing a working port in a long time or possibly never.

Honestly cracking the keys with the phone is moot, who cares if the phone can not possibly decrypt using the packet logs. All that it needs to do is to be able to capture packets and save them to a log... take them home and decrypt in the leisure. As long as it can send out packets and receive is all that is needed.

Some routers if you do it right will go into a loops sending out weak iv's unprompted. Meaning you fool router and a device connected to the ap to constantly auth and deauth, all without replaying the arps constantly while receiving. Its only on some devices though. However even if you can't send and receive at the same time on one device you could have two one replaying and one receiving/saving... which is completely feasible.

Another point worth noting is that currently there isn't a known method to implement enough RAM to run the various other tools needed to crack WEP from within the Iphone/Ipod OS, this is why you will encounter 'Killed' when attempting to run the other tools; airdecap-ng, airmon-ng, ivstools, packetforge-ng making injecting and sniffing packs completely impossible at this time.

You people do understand this is only a beta released as a proof of concept don't you?. You can't actually gather WEP or WPA keys with this yet, all you're doing is gathering iv keys from touch.ivs. You're essentially just running a demo proving that with alot of work it may be possible to crack weak iv's in the future. Of course it's going to generate the same key everytime, it's 'running' against the same information in touch.ivs.

Hey guy's, this is to all who are having problems with getting aircrack to work. I've got an iPhone 3g Running 3.0 OS and I've gotten aircrack to work successfully. I'll hopefullyy be posting a video tutorial on how to install it. I found the issue to the "killed" and fixes to the various errors I encountered fixing the the code signature.

Everyone who wants to disable code signing to make it work.. There's another way! Sign the binaries! Download ldid from Cydia, then cd to where your aircrack binaries are, then ldid -S aircrack-ng

Voila, they're signed! And it works on 3.0 now. Cheers!

I was able to get AirCrack to work on my iPod 2G with 2.2.1 by temporarily disabling Apple Code Signing. To do this, go into Terminal and type the following (all on the same line):

sysctl -w security.mac.proc_enforce=0 security.mad.vnode_enforce=0

You cannot. Apple has put a kill switch inside the firmware, which stops any unsigned process. If you try to disable the kill switch, you will also disable the Core part of the firmware, which you don't wanna do.
