Spassky has definitely aged better. I think the main difference was their approach to life after the world championship. While Fischer spent all his energy battling the chess organizations, Jews, and the US government, Spassky was able to give up his hopes of regaining the championship and simply enjoy chess without the stress.
Well after the 72 match Fisher gave most of his money to the world wide church of god, which he later abandoned and so spent 20 years living in abject poverty. The reason he got so sick was because he took many different chinese medicines as an "antidote" to Russian poisoning - this eventually gave him the renal failure, which was the cause of his death.

Thats true, even if Spassky had 2 Brainstrokes. Fischer was a young athletic man, but later he turned toward a tall person.
