well, little mermaid is originally a dark tale. Disney made it into a happy ending,, but good thing this new little mermaid is coming out, the original story is awesome! people debate about the ending which is kinda dark but has a spiritual aspect.

I gotta disagree, I really liked the super cheesy opening just because it takes you off guard and seemed really unique. Segal did seem a bit awkward but it think that may have just been because the clips shown are super cheesey. Plus the whole film is his labor of love and the Actual plot looks really great and true the the Muppet legacy

@emmetkowler Exactly, it was the Sam Rami classic style, just like The Evil Dead trilogy, pure awesomeness. The only thing that was missing was a cameo by Bruce Campbell lol, who in my opinion is the world best b-movie actor, toppling the likes of Gary Busey and Stephen Baldwin.
