Sorry but there isn't a 4th season. Three seasons is all, and the show is no more. If you want some great shows like this one maybe check out a show called, Spaced or the movie Shaun of the Dead. Both of these were created by Simon Pegg who appears is season 3 of black books as the hilarious competing bookshop owner. Well hardly competing considering Bernard dousn't want to sell books.

Don't forget that it wasnt just simon pegg who created those two shows! He was also, extremely well assisted by Jessica Stevenson (co-creator and writer of Spaced) and Edgar Wright (director of Spaced and Shaun of the dead as well as co-creator and writer of the latter). Don't mean to be pedantic, but Simon Pegg is in danger of becoming the new Steve Coogan of comedy, namely he usually works with several creative people, yet he's the only one that ever gets praised by the press!
