  • what is that subwoofer control chord on the bottom left? is that coming from the subwoofer?

  • @armystrong759 I haven't been able to figure out what it does to be honest.

  • @benheiss does it come out of the subwoofer? where does it go to?

  • Thank you very mych that was extremely helpful I just bought one on ebay

  • your very fat

  • @MrConramora Your point?

  • @MrConramora YOU ARE A JERK AND SHOULD BE ASHAMED TO TELL ANYONE THAT

  • @MrConramora Damn Troll. Go Troll Yourself, and Have a Trolling day. Ass.

  • Distubed.

  • @godsmackvampire I kinda want to replace the center channel and front speakers with the Sony ssb1000 and the Sony center channel speaker would I be able to hook those speakers up with this reciever

  • I got the same one as you,I had it for 5 and half months now,and i'm very good at setting things like that up.If anyone needs help or is concern about a audio codec,or anything messing up your home theatre,or the best place to put it from over heating.Just message me

  • @ender2999 I asked this question before but I bought a Sony active subwoofer because the sub that came with this doesn't work it's rated at 6 ohms and this reciever is rated at 8 ohms will this cause any problem

  • As far as what the distance function does (you said you didn't know)--It basically determines the amount of delay each speaker has. It doesn't do anything with volume or anything. So it's pretty subtle, but it can eliminate echoey voices and different things.

  • i found mine factory refurbished for 69.99 at best buy and it works good

  • I'm srry to keep bothering but the subwoofer that came with my system doesn't work and I kinda want to connect a active subwoofer so that way I could have extra bass but I'm clueless on what impedance is what sub would you recommend

  • @MrJonnyfatman No please feel free to ask all the questions you need. I wish I could answer this question. I am completely clueless on this subject as well. I have never even thought about getting another Sub for it. Sorry.

  • @MrJonnyfatman if it's an active subwoofer you don't need to know the impedance. There should be an RCA out on the back of the receiver labeled "sub" or "Subwoofer". just connect that to your active subwoofer and it should sound fine!

  • One last question on my ps3 the music I have it at an output frequency of 48khz but I like the sound when I switch the frequency to 44.1/88.2/176.4 KHz I don't know if the hometheater which is awesome would get damaged

  • @MrJonnyfatman I wish I could help you out about this but I honestly have no idea about the frequency stuff. Ill look into it though and tell you what I find out.

  • How do you change the surround settings I want to change it to church but it just stays a Dolby pro logic II movie

  • @MrJonnyfatman It depends on what setting your on like TV, Sat, ETC. I think in Sat there is only the Dolby ones and in TV and most of the others there is Church and all of the other options.

  • Cool thanks man I can't wait for it to come

  • @MrJonnyfatman No problem at all! Need any help setting it up just message me! :D

  • I got a question Will this system support black ops on a ps3 through optical cable and through what surround setting on the reciever

  • @MrJonnyfatman I play all of my PS3 games through this system and they sound and work awesome! When you use the Optical Cable for it its through the Sat/Opt setting and depending on the sound of the game it runs in Dolby digital surround sound which makes explosions and gun shots sound like their coming from the direction their coming from through each speaker.

  • can you hook up multiple things to it tv,xbox,ps3 etc....

  • @JerkNationGaming Yeah you can. Right now I have my TV and PS3 hooked up to it. It has many more ports though. Its got TV, VCR, DVD, Sat/Opt, USB, and Line in for like mp3 players or what not. I have my PS3 hooked up through the Digital Optical port which is the Sat/Opt but that is because it has awesome sound settings for games and all that.

  • @benheiss alright thanks when yyou showed the back seemed like there were no inputs so how u get all that hooked up maybe make a set up video ??? thanks alot

  • @JerkNationGaming Yeah I might end up doing that eventually. I have no idea if I will or not. But there are those ports back there. Hope I helped you out some!

  • I saw one today at Target and was debating hard on if I should get it but didn't Wish I did now so I think I'll go back and get it tomorrow. Hope it's still there cause it might have been the last one they had. Thanks for the review.

  • @dg27576 Your welcome! I hope you find it! You might want to pic up some speaker wire to at radioshack. They have 1 spool i got thats like 75 feet worth and i have mine set up now so its actually all around my living room. The wire cost me like 5 bucks to. Its an awesome system.

  • @dg27576 The exact stuff i got to do whole adding speaker wire thing is this.

1- Radioshack Brand insulated Butt Connectors 22-18 gauge pack of 16 (these fit the 24 gauge wire even tho it says 22-18.

2- Radioshack Brand 24- gauge Solid 2-Conductor Speaker Wire 75 foot roll.

Hope i helped if you are looking to do this.

  • @benheiss thanks for your help, I went back to where I buy it and they told me how to fix it, they said, first, the volume to 27 in VCR chanel, and move the surround, from stereo to hall and then up again, and this was done to function at all voilumen.

    thanks for your help

  • @slasherocker95 Yeah no problem. I forgot about those setting, but glad i could help some.

  • hey friend, I know how to increase the power of my rt2870, say it pulls very well and all that but when I went to buy me tried it and sounded more powerful than tngo now, could you give me some tips for this?

  • @slasherocker95 I am very confused by your question. Could you better describe your situation?

  • Thanks for your review. You made made my mind up. Got the unit today and it is perfect for my LCD TV. Saved me a lot of money too, thanks again.

  • @oldstyle701 You welcome! Its nice to be able to help someone out! Enjoy the sound!

  • hey i juust got this same one. and i need help installing it please message back

  • @SIKORA12 Alright what do u need help with?

  • good job bro. im getting one of these for Christmas. but im wondering how log it will probly last?

  • @EminemAwsome1234 Well like i said in the video, I am pretty sure this is year number 2 and i have only had one problem with it and that was my fault. I have cats and the cats shed alot and the fan got guncked up and it made a noise. But all u do is take the side screws off the system and clean the fan. After that not one problem!

I recommend it for the money!

  • @benheiss alright. i don't have any pets so I'm good with that. thanks for the help man.

  • @EminemAwsome1234 Yeah your welcome! Just make sure it has enough ventilation for the fan. it says when you get it your supposed to keep like a foot each side clear and top but mine is basically enclosed and it hasnt done anything as long as you keep the back ventilated.

  • @benheiss alright so its kinda like the ps3. sorry but i have 1 more question. do u think the speakers will blow very easily? like what volume should i not go over?

  • @EminemAwsome1234 i really dont think they will but to be safe i would never go over 40 or 45. It goes to 50 and i put it up to 40 once and its super loud so i doubt u will go past that anyway.

  • Very cool review! Makes me want to get out there and pick one up! You might want to throw a little extra light in there when showing the front part of the system so we can see it better. Maybe a plug in directional lamp or something. Still, thumbs up and thanks!

    Rolland

  • @rbheiss Yeah i moved a lamp out and it didnt light it up like i thought it would. Glad you liked it, made it a little lengthy.
