  • thats a good man very

  • who the f**k don't like ray??

  • ergh, this just gives me goosebumps for days!

  • The best.

  • i asked my great grandmother whose 92 now and was born and raised in Georgia if she hated white people becase her farther was brutally mutilated and lyched in 1938...she said "honey hate will not get me to heaven, i have been forgave all those people who spit at us becase they did not kno what they do was evil..i have been moved on from that and you and YOUR generation need to learn to forgive..we have a black president now...be happy" she actually made me cry lol

  • @gogitta25 Hallelujah. As an Irish man I wish your great grandmother could come here and tell some of our British haters the same. There comes a time when you stand up, proud of your history but not defined by it and move on. She's a wise woman and I wish her long life and good health. And give her a hug from Ireland.

  • @tomjslattery We're hardly solely defined by that part of our history anymore, are we? Wasn't that the Queen making my route to work more awkward a couple of months ago? :) A few idiots, a natural residue of bygone days, aside, I would say we Irish have long moved on.

  • @jackdaniels78261 newfags

  • @theaaos that was in the movie it never happened.

  • @mykki72 BS. learn history.... don't try to re-write it. the state legislature even gave an official apology.

  • @theaaos the apology was never official. He just didnt perform at a concert people got mad, told him not to return, it was never on paper saying "you are banned" or whatever. goolge it, it says nowhere that is was official.

  • @theaaos Ray didn't write this song, his is just a cover that's become the definitive version.

  • @BuddyXIII ok.... who wrote it?

  • ISTO É MARAVILHOSO...UM POEMA DE SONHOS

  • there needs to be change, no more innocent people need to die over the incompetence and outright corruption of our legal system. Innocent men die while baby killers go free all cause of "technicalities", whatever happened to using your intuition, common sense and morals. • I feel u silver! im 25 and still don't find people my age that appreciate Ray the rest who really gave the music of today a ground to build on.... The man and legend will live on forever through is music and no one can take that away!

  • Ray broke the white wall on music everyone liked him regaurdless of color.

Ray Charles was strong on the charts in the 60's with several songs, more then any other generation. It shows that talent continues on at any age Ray kept recording in the 70's and the 80's and got better as he got older. Ray recorded many country western songs for paramount records mostly Hank Williams Sr. songs with ray's sound. Atlantic records made Ray and Ray made Atlantic records they were the real deal.

  • The National Anthem Of Georgia. The double entandre of Georgia that sweet soul we know Georgia The Queen Jewel Of The South. I can't say it better than Ray. His music moves me deeply as I connect to the sweet memories of smiling loving free souls in the magnolia scent filled dreams with a song in the air.

  • Ray's voice can melt your heart and soul!

  • I JUST LOVE THIS SONG AND ONE OF MY FAVOURITES FROM MY REPERTOIRE. RAY CHARLES SINGS THIS AMAZINGLY WELL. HE HAS A FANTASTIC VOICE

  • Well i'm 14, my mum and dad grew me up on this type of music and pretty much the 70's and 80's music aswell. Its so sad that most of my generation doesn't even know of Ray Charles...

  • @braziliandoc08 I really love this version but I actually prefer the version that plays at the end of the movie Ray. I have searched EVERYWHERE for it but I can't find it. It's spectacular.

  • iv never known anywhere else in this world except georgia, born and raised. all the ghetto's aside, i like to imagine my home being the most peacefull place in the world. like i said if your in the right areas then the phrase "southern hospitality" is the perfect description. people smile and wave at you, the air is so fresh. this song really does come as sweet and clear as moonlight through the pines

  • Remember hearing this song in 1960. I was 10 yrs. old, it was on the car radio WLS in Chicago.

  • R.I.P Atlanta Thrashers : (

I'm saddened that they are gone from the NHL.

  • Dios!!, cómo me gusta esta canción!! :-)

  • I remember now.. That was the Decatur (Ga.) Recreation Center! 1963-1964 OMG! Is ANYBODY that old?.. guess so! Ha!

  • We were 14-15. We could dance at the community center till midnight. If you had money in the jukebox at 11:45 you would lose, 'cause it got UN-plugged, and then there were three or four songs that HAD to be played!

Last one was Paul Anka (Pu Your Head..) But this one was ALWAYS!! the 2nd to the last one! You could set your watch, or bank on it!

  • I'm in a puddle on the ground now Ray <3 I see how he had 12 kids...

  • i love this song im from atlanta i feel sec of this song it keep me alright

  • I love that I'm 17 years old and that I truly appreciate music like this. I feel so sorry for most of my generation who can't branch out and listen to real and true artistry such as this song. To me, musicians like Ray Charles, Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, etc really had soul and love for what they did. These days, every song on the radio has a sexual connotation and songs as beautiful as this are rarely even recognized or appreciated in my age group. I just feel bad for them.

  • @silverskittles50 i'm with you man.. i'm 17 as well, almost 18, and i've been a fan of ray since my 14 or 15 years. and don't worry, almost all of my friends like geniuses, such as the ones you said. don't worry, not everything is lost :) in a couple of years, they will wake up for reality. and this is reality, true music is reality.

  • @silverskittles50 im with u! Im 14, and i listen to this, but also aloty of led zeppelin and robert johnson blind lemon jefforson, and old blues artists form the 30's.

  • @silverskittles50 I feel u there. :P

  • @silverskittles50 I feel u there. :P

  • @silverskittles50 Same bro, I hate the fact that people cant open their eyes to music thats actually requires skill to sing. Sad world...

  • @silverskittles50 In Radios you can't listen to good music today, there are so many artistis, with big talents, but you have to find them ....

  • @silverskittles50 well said, well said (y)

  • @silverskittles50

IKR! im 12 and i think some of the main stream stuff is good but not comepared to true music like this some of the lyrics in mainstream songs make me feel sick!

  • @silverskittles50 im 12, and i love this song :)

  • i heard this song when i went to Georgia,,I love the feeling of the song.

  • @Batistamaniac1 Do you realize that this is the official state song?

  • @billchew450 Ya,i do,which is y i said when i went to Georgia,lol,

  • you got to be shittin me what dumb ass redneck will call you fag for liking the music of an american icon in R&B. YOU NEED TO DUMP YOUR " friends" ASAP - PDQ!

WHAT ARE YOU TAKING THIS CRAP FROM YOUR " FRIENDS"

  • Comment removed

  • i want to post this on facebook but all my friends will call me a fag and i care more about what my friends think than anything even more than good music

  • @27markusking post ittttt hahaha

  • @27markusking Only friends with no feeling for good music will call you a fag when you put this special one on your fb...

  • @27markusking If your friends call you a fag for likeing this song, you might want to get new friends! This is one of the greatest songs ever, and many a young man have wooed their girls while playing it. Be a leader, and don't let others dictate what you do. You'll be old and gray, and wondering why in hell you didn't do things your way, coz ain't nobody gonna be there but you and your maker when you leave this world. Remember: TO THINE OWN SELF BE TRUE!

  • This is a wonderful song.
