  • thats amazing, how is he able to keep the hat on at that speed?

  • he's driving downhill

  • 1:03: so much for 25MPH

  • what kind of wheels and rims are those? Where do you get them?

  • i want one... :3

  • yehey!!!! NO GAS NEEDED!!!!

  • Very Nice ! This is what everyone should be driving.

  • That's pretty cool.

  • the petrol companies really hate ideas like this and so do the government. the government want this kind of thing kept out of the picture as it renders independent thought.

  • @210482fmj why would they do that its bad enough they charge us for land -.- i hate the government and law -_- everyone should be allowed to as they pleese

  • @Dreameatertv amen!

  • Nice, where do you buy the motor?

  • nice job,get that front end aligned properly and you might get up to 50mph,you would not believe how much alignment affects vehicle performance, especially when you can see it with the naked eye!!

  • Too cool. The only drawback is that I can't get back home from town...but I love this thing! I'm jealous.

    The hat and glasses! Priceless!

    Kudos.

  • I really like that system, I want a car like that one here in my country or id' like to build one... these ideas are the ones that will save our world and our wallets...

  • this exactly the kind of vehicles the petrol industry does not want people using.

  • Great work but please do your kids a favour, wear a helmet.

  • i admire athe cameraman

  • I love the idea that it time to change from depending on oil for our car. The electric car is here to stay. But it time to rethink how we power these car's. Never again plug it into anything. But time to make them run on their own power. Before you judge that it can not be done. Think outside the box.

  • How does he keep his hat on?

  • @niupaidanui check out zkart by george fortin

  • Its a tight fit.

  • @niupaidanui it has airfoil :D

  • @niupaidanui - Velcro Tape

  • AMAZING! Thanks for sharing the video.

  • I should be posting a video of my latest build with in a week, much better wheels and runs at 72 volts.

    George Fortin

  • @georgefortin

    looks good

  • Very Nice build. Wonder what battery you are using? I am working on an electric three wheeler. Have not bought the batteries yet. I would be interested to know how much your vehicle weighs and how many wheels have brakes?

Have been thinkning about changing mine to a single cylinder Yamaha 250 engine, as in the Edison2 100 mpg car.

  • Any Plans? or better yet, why can I buy one, or two, or maybe five?

  • Wow, It is cool electric car. Go ahead for sell some to people. Throw petrol cars out of Earth.

  • @john1966elliott I wud love to see a fiberglass shell on top of this car. Maybe something light wieght, maybe even foldable or with a soft skin that can be unfurled like a convertable top. There is a folding car video on youtube that is similar to what i describe search "folding electric care" on youtube.

  • @upcycle Yeah I love it, Your idea, It is cool.

  • Free Energy is real and its here but the coverup is strong, if u are interested in a REAL free energy machine then

just go to LT-MAGNET-MOTORdotCOM and download the blueprints ,it is probably the ONLY working magnet

motor out there. Join the free energy revolution!!

  • Absolutely brilliant. Any plans available?

Your design appears to be one of the best out there.

  • Absolutely brilliant. Any plans available?

You design appears to be one of the best out there.

  • Great potential for a velomobile platform! Much better than the trike concept. I prefer pedal-assist, though, to always ensure getting home.

  • I want to build a similar design but with a 19 HP Kohler Diesel engine on it.

  • AWESOME. We are building a bike very similar to this one except it is a 2 seater and it has an on board recharging system. Keep an eye out on my channel for vids covering this build. It is a test bed for our Pepsi Refresh EV project proposal that is being voted on right now

  • "how fast?" "how fast?" "how fast?" "he's asking you how fast is it?" she forgot to say, "IDIOT!" to the guy driving in the regular car. what a moron!

  • That is pretty awesome. I would love to build something like that.

  • @delvinmacmillen18 You can't build that. You can barley turn On your computer.

  • Is the 15 min all at top speed?? Or does the top speed slow down during those 15 min?

  • i want that,, its good to make chops

  • sweet... till u get t-bone sandwich!

  • are we going to listen to music this weekend?????

  • Fast.... :o) by Downhill well.

  • i am looking to build something similar. could u tell me wut kind of motar u used n the batteries? how did u build the frame? wwut r ur over all thoughts?

  • I like it, I would suggest a different type of wheel though, as it seems the wire spokes are almost not able to take the load.

  • that's about what I'm looking for in an electric car. Simple, lightweight, no frills. Of course that car in it's current condition isn't street legal by any means (not even a rollcage).

I have to wonder, spending all that money on making something like that, could you not have mounted a battery powered GPS to tell you speed, or at the very least use an iphone with a free speed app?

  • The interesting reality of that street legal concept you speak of is that for a vehicle to be "street legal", it must meet numerous safety regulations. The result is that the "motorized quadricycle" becomes heavier and more bulky, which requires a bigger engine, which requires a bigger frame, which... you get the idea.

So, the vehicle goes from being a light bike of around 300-440 mpg to a heavy, bulky car of about 20-40 mpg. :/

  • howd you control the motor speed? i have a 24volt 14 amp motor and want to control the speed using PWM, but it will fry the chip... are there any HEAVY dute H-bridges around? the max i found was 8 amps...

    thanks :)

  • fantastic show de bola

  • I wonder how well that would work with a drivetrain out of a moped.

  • How Fast...OHH!

  • do you have problem with cops ?

    make some new vids dude

  • Everyone should have one of these.

  • @jupy921 Agree with you; Urgent a new concept car,,, forget the oil,,, is stupid a V8 or more

  • Thats grate! good work George, wish I had one.

  • I can see there's an etek motor on it so the speed limitation is purely because of the voltage. if you increase that it will go much faster with that motor.

but it's dangerous enough as is :)

  • its voltage and amps. the combination makes power. increasing either one would do the same thing

  • I know volt and amp makes watt but as it happens a motor such as this one is motivated by voltage in such a way that a specific voltage corresponds to a particular max speed of the motor. I know that' s counter intuitive but oddlt enough there seems to be a fundamental correlation between motion and voltage.

another thing to consider is that current doesn't flow without voltage urging it to flow. you can't dictate a current in a motor while keeping the voltage fixed. you can only add voltage.

  • you mean current doesnt flow with the preasure of electrons???.. i beleive he increased this motor capacity to its limit, these thing are verry easy to burn..

  • you can think of voltage as pressure and yes it makes current flow. like pressure in pipes makes it flow.

but the etek motor is a powerful little thing and it could do alot more than we see in this video if properly motivated. but as I said, the vehicle is plenty dangerous as it is. no roll bar, no seatbelt. in a crash the steer will likely kill him

  • i wonder what is powering this motor.. 12v battery maybe??

  • yeah from the tech style of the vehicle I'd guess he uses four small 12v lead acid batteries. maybe marine batteries from a supermarket. easy to come by and does the trick if you're not super concerned with weight or performance

  • pretty cool but a dangerous vehicle. no roll bar and seemingly no seatbelt either

  • tesla roadster cost like 99.000€ thats kinda waste of money :( but if they could make a fast cheap electic car that would be awesome

  • top speed is 40 mp/h?

that would be like 65 km/h

but its pretty cool to drive it in the city :)

  • .......stupid SMog B.S. our so called govt is whats really slowing advanment in production and you know why ..... MONEY BIG MONEY that the big reason other wise about 55 % of the bullshit we have to deal with today would be a thing of the past and all of you know im right

  • ...but that if your worried about speed mileage it doesnt matter if you know what your doing GAs and electric could be equal i kow of people who have managed to get incredible gas milage on older cars twenty years ago the car companies are full of shit 35 MPG is nothing 50 was possible twenty years ago and 75 was possible in an MG migdet about 15 years ago but it was cancelled becuse it burned to pure

  • hey you guys if your worried about speed fuck Electirc andf gas and go with the Blue Flame that things has then all beat and has had them beat for years

  • That would make your IQ about 5. My IQ is 170. Yours is about 80-85 tops.

  • very nice

  • Electric cars are stupid. Thats why all of our cars are still Gas.And go more than 33-34mph. Electric is slow and cost too much money to run its stupid and sucks! Its weak.

  • you must have a IQ of about 10....there was a electric car that got 100 miles to a charge ran fine went 0-60 faster then your car most likely and was better for the environment....read and don't make your self look so retarded

  • Actualy the Tesla EV roadsters go 244miles per charge 185kW and 0-60mph in 3.9sec. one of the fastest sreet cars on the road.

  • .... so you just confirmed what he said, and contradicted what YOU said... congrats, you just double failed!!

  • Wrong. Read it again...maybe you will understand it the second time.

  • what am i missunderstanding?

You: Electric cars are slow...dont go more than 33-34mph.

You again: 0-60mph in 3.9sec. one of the fastest sreet cars on the road.

    thats a contradiction.

If there is something im not seeing, please point it out.

  • .... so you just confirmed what he said,

  • ?? your confusing me lol.. first you said that electric cars are slow, then in your response to his post, you said they are fast. You contradicted yourself.

  • Very good conclusion. Some are fast some are slow. You are slow like the car in this video.

  • ok, im not sure if you are really retarded, or only pretending to be retarded to confuse me. But one minute you said they are slow, and the next you say they are fast. That is called contradicting yourself, smart guy.

  • Some are fast some are slow. You are slow like the car in this video.

  • You think that because that's what the automotive & oil industries want you to think. Electric cars can be faster and better in every aspect than gasoline cars. back in the mid 90s ford made a test run of purposefully crapily made electric cars that wouldn't go more than 50 miles in range or more than 50 mph so that the uneducated public (that's you) would develop a negative image of them (and it worked). educate yourself. look up the Tesla Roadster.

  • Actually, never mind, stay stupid. I just checked out your channel and saw that you're just a video flamer. don't bother responding. do the world a favor and cut your dick off so we don't have to live with your dumbass offspring. EVERYBODY ELSE: BREED OUT STUPIDITY! SOON THE WHOLE WORLD WILL BE AS STUPID AS TIMROCKET IF WE LET THIS CONTINUE!!

  • I already commented on the Tesla Roadster. ..Knukle head next time read before you make an ass out of yourself again.

  • oh yeah you're right. you did appearantly already know of the tesla BEFORE you made your retarded comment. Guess it was all for theatrics after all.

  • post more vids of this thing, AWESOME!

  • Very cool design approach George ! Are you able to license it for road use ? What batteries did you use ? How fast does it go ?

  • Well done George , I don't know what's up Rocketmans arse , But we would still be riding in a horse and cart if it wasn't for inventive people like George,

Keep doin it George , Give us some more info and a less shakey video ,

    Cheers

  • Oh my God: Absolute terrible Sound!

  • Wish this sort of thing was California legal or else I might build one.

  • I like very much what George has done.

  • Your still alive??

  • STFU you stupid little piece of shit. You`er not your dumbass

  • @timrocket2008 He isn't a moron, your trolling on the internet talking shit, but you never created a bike from scratch with a motor. And your talking shit. I don't even think you know how to weld and your talking about his from wheels. It probably his first build, practice and error help you fix your mistake. You should have told him what is wrong instead talking shit. So your the MORON.

  • cool car. i've been trying to make one just like that, but my motor keeps breaking the chain.

  • George Fortins do you speak french , i m from Quebec?

  • Sweet little gizmo. Btw, timrocket2008 is a douchebag.

  • The front end needs an alignment. The front wheels are toed out wat too much. You can tell it was built buy a moron.

  • Let's see some videos of what you have built, timrocket2008. Oh? Nothing? People like you offer nothing, go practice karaoke into the barrel of a shotgun with your toe on the trigger.

  • that's not toe, it's camber, you fucking MORON!

Since they are single a arms the camber changes during suspension droop and he doesn't have the shocks set in the right place.

    My guess, anyway.

  • I like how when he turned it did a fish tail and made the tires squeel. He should some how get a Title for it and register it to be legal.

  • No helmet, wtf was he thinking? LOL.

  • If he got caught, He would have done some Jail time and they would have taken it away from him. What a dumb ass.

  • I really enjoyed watching this video - great job! Does it stop on a dime? At those speeds, it would be necessary to have effective brakes!

  • You got 4 normal 12v batteries in there?

  • i loev what you have created there its goto be hard to resist taking it out one more time. again i really like that 4 wheel electric vehicle , better than a sinclair C5 rob.

  • is it legal??

  • no...

  • If a Cop caught him they would take it away from him and he would go to jail.

  • Cool! If you put a indy roadster style body with head lites and blinkers and a stearing wheel on this thing I would buy one!

  • What's the antenna for?

  • great work; may I suggest a trailer type generator using the wheels as turbines for power production? Attach it to the back and keep it powered long distance.

  • That wouldn't work very well. Unless the generator is over 100% efficient you would use power pulling the trailer and turning the wheels than would be generated in return.

  • wow very nice, great job.

Can you look at my 4 wheel bike video. I can't seem to get the thing to work.

  • I'm proud of you. I've just been googling pedal cars. There are surreys available. I threaten the kids with pedaling to school. It may happen yet!

  • Cool, but let's see it hit a pothole at that speed.

  • On my next video I will jump a curb at that speed..

  • man id be scared to go over some potholes with that thing, id imagine that going over a few of them would start to do some damage

  • @georgefortin Okay, but you're going to hit a pole on the one after, right?

Just kidding. I really admire your ingenuity and think this sort of transportation should be more widespread. In Québec, we have a trans-provincial bicycle route known as the "Route verte" "The Green road" that goes all the way to Ottawa, Ontario. It would be so amazing to do such a trip in a quadricycle. Who needs to go faster than 40 mph?

  • Very good.

  • That looks cool!!

  • That is awesome!

  • No way no way no way.... Man please! How do I get one?

Fantastic dude! thats all I got to say for real!

    its amazing for real..

    RESPECT

  • Hey, Its Joyce(the angel fan) from Becky's party...Nice Car....nice passion.....do not spend tooo much time in your garage...Nice meeting you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this needs to become a viral video somethin fierce. that think is filthy! Love how it took that turn! You need to post MORE videos man . PEACE

  • Wow! nice machine!

  • very nice :-)

  • esta bien rapido!!! cuanto costo el proyecto???y que clase de motor le pusieron???y cuantas baterias soporta???tambien cuantas millas corre antes de que muera??gracias!!!

  • does he sell th 4 wheel electric buggy sytems

  • That looks amazing.

  • I am trying to build an bicycle version that can do 60 mph

  • I was the one who video taped this trip through the neighborhood. I also drove it and what impressed me was the torque it had. George has been doing things like this for the last 40 years, starting with mini bikes. Stand by and I'm sure he'll have something new soon.

  • always tinkering in your garage. I love that about you, and good job on the go cart that thing is so cool. You need to wear a helmet especially if you are going to do turns like that....

  • George, this thing is totally awesome. How long did it take you to build? Cost?

I assume this little test was not "street legal", but man slap some turn signals on that thing and I bet you can get it into traffic legally without much of a problem.

If you need help with anything let me know, I am a marketing student with 3 years background in marketing a well known EV-like-device

  • George,

I am very impressed. Before you know it, everyone will want one. I know I do.

    Very Cool.

    thank you for sharing.

    Bonnie

  • George - it sounds like you are breaking a land speed record! So how does it handle???

  • It handles great, I can jump off a curb at 20 miles an hour, and the batteries are below the center of gravity so you can corner at full throttle

  • Hey, I've got a couple of those Etek motors sitting around unused, plus one in an unfinished Lambretta conversion - anyone want to finish it?

  • Do you want to sell your etek motors, also what is a lambretta?

  • Eteks are getting pretty rare - I don't have any projects planned, but at $600 or more on eBay, they look like a good investment! A Lambretta is a cousin to the Vespa, same stinky 2-stroke, same overall shape. I had it run a couple times, but too many odds-and-ends to fine tune, and I am nowhere near as mechanically minded as you!

  • were are you located

  • Halfway between SF and Sacto in Nor.Cal.
