As of 2005, one would need 12 such displays to render certain single-shot digital pictures, for instance a 14836 × 20072...

I don't work for an AV company, and I don't understand much about electronics BUT I do own this television. I did shop around for other televisions for my husband before I purchased this one. I looked at 50" plasmas, but a friend of his owns this tv and recommended it. The picture quality is phenomenal. We have a very large family room and have a great view. The people are life size, and it feels like they are in the room with you!

just because its 1080p doesnt mean shit. It has a screen door effect, and a lower contrast ratio. The pioneer does deeper blacks and better colors. I have no idea huh, I only work for a high end AV company douche

yeah bettter blacks and viewing angle. this doesnent take away from the FAR higher resolution. 1080p DOES mean shit, the difference in image quality is signifigant. 720p is only 300 odd pixels finer than SD stuff. brilliant quality yes but the step up makes all the difference.
