12 years, and i still think this is the greatest of all anime. i really want to a sequel. i managed to play the blue 6 PS1 game and was really happy with the extended storyline.

Probably because both mutio and verg are 'creations'.

Also, earlier in the series it seem like they were already lover-ish.

I think they fit well together. Seeing as Mutio was by Verges side when he disappeared into the sea. Mutio and Mayami seemed to have a more relationship of understanding. A friendship.

I don't think there is a manga... the anime was based off a video game and *SPOILER* she does die in the game. She's strapped to a missile or something and Hayami has to shoot her, it's really sad!

that game takes place the same time as the OVA only it focuses on Kino and the main hero and some new hybrid as the main villain. Only one battle took place after the last episode of the OVA which i think should have been included.

Dude..I knew someone would like love to see Hayami & mutio be together. I really wished they did...it made me feel annoyed when I saw Kino show up instead of Mutio. Thanks for making this AMV it was really savage.

Yes this is probably one of the first anime's i ever really watched. And i was 7...so i'm even sure if i understood it completely at the time. But i enjoyed it anyways.

Re-watched the series recently with my boyfriend (a relatively new anime lover). He said that he wishes anime's were more like this one (and i completely agree). As for it being only 4 episodes..the best anime's are always short, so i really don't mind.

I can't believe that hardly anyone has seen it...one of the best.

While there are some amazing series out there that are movies or mini-series, there are some longer ones just as good like Monster,FMA,Cowboy Bebop,Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, and lots more. It really all depends on what types you like.

However, I do think that because Blue Submarine No. 6 was such a short series it leaves the fans using their imagination to wonder what would happen if it were longer. And that makes great fanfiction!

I feel the same way as you. While I think the series was good and actually has great potential to be even better, Hayami and Mutio were what really captured me and kept me watching. The plot is great but having a plot that huge - killing humans and new species and what not - you really need a longer series to cover all of it well. I know other anime series have couples that are of different species, but there is just something different about Hayami and Mutio.

If you want to keep using WMM I have found that ever time you save it's best to close the program wait a few seconds then pull it back up. It's a pretty good program to use if you can put up with its temper tantrums :-p

I actually found another program similar to WMM that works WAY better but the only problem is it doesn't have any of the effects like slow down or speed up, it does have transitions though. The program is free and the name of it is VideoSpin. I'm making an amv with it right now and will probably post it on Youtube pretty soon.

what you might do if you need speed effects is just do those in WMM and then import them into VideoSpin. I actually got an add-on pack for Movie Maker for my birthday that had extra effects and transitions, so i think WMM is the best for transitions. (Maybe not for making like a full on batch of movies but the interface is easy)

Blue Sub is in my top ten of favorite animes. This is also one of my favorite Radio Head songs, but it's hard to choose just one song of theirs as my favoritest. Have you heard the new Radiohead album, Rainbows? I was thinking of making a video to the song ' Video Tape' on the album but I'm not sure what anime to match it up with.

Ah, Hayami and Mutio are my favorites out of the series, so of course I love that this revolves around the pair. I couldn't possibly think of what the whole story line could be but definatley show them adapting to the new world and introduce us to some more of Zorndike's creatures. That could be the drama and then for action maybe a new threat. I have no idea on that part. Or maybe there could have been a large group of humans that were still alive but in hiding and then they want to take over the new land with all of Zorndike's creatures on it and Hayami helps defend the land.haha, maybe?
