Along with my RAM I have a GTX 460 and an--I'm reading this off the box, here--AMD Phenom II X4 Processor 3.2 GHz with 8.0 MB total cache. So I haven't made the mistake of skimping on those in favor of a lot of ram, but I decided to include 8 gigs so that I won't have to take this thing apart and add anything any time soon. I like having my magical hardware all sealed up where I can't fuck it over.

@GoreCrowVII I have the same CPU except i keep mine clocked to 3.6 GHz (it works flawlessly up to 4.2 GHz) but as i said, 8gb RAM is too much. Even if you have win vista which on its own needs some 2 GB ram to function, you will never more than 4 GB, at least not for gaming. Crysis is 7 GB large, and maybe 15% of that gets stored in RAM while its running, so unless you play 5 games, convert videos AND compress data at the same time, you will never need 8 GB.

I am running it with windows 7, Q9650 CPU, 4gigs ram and GTX295 video card . . . yet the thing still overheats the video card and fukken crashes almost every 5 minutes. I got all of my settings on "gamer" level (which is supposedly an easy thing for GTX295 to handle) and I got it patched to version 1.1 but nevertheless it crashes.

I checked on the internet and found out that a water cooling unit for GTX295 would cost about $200 - which means shelling out more cash.

I used SpeedFan to check the temperature of the CPU and the GPU. The CPU was OK - it was running at 34C without load and 41C under heavy load (like a raytrace render). The video card GPU temperature, though, sucked - it was at 56C without any load and 75C under heavy load. I think the heat of the GPU is the biggest reason for instability.

Also, another guy said that he had similar temperature readings from his GTX295 and said that Crysis Warhead didn't Crash. This means that it could be the fact that I'm running it on windows 7RC - so I Should either get full Windows 7 or install it on my Windows XP HD.

i have warhead for my pc and it worked perfectly on gamer settings lag free blah blah, the problem now is i am currently using ide hdd and dvd burner on the same cable(student cash low lol) which worked perfectly until i took the dvd burner out and back in, i also connected a small blower fan onto the dvd power supply, the burner when burning a cd made the fan smell of burning and now my entire pc is slow and refuses to load crysis like it did help plz

the major difference between crysis and crysis: warhead, is that in warhead the graphic engine has been tweaked, to be more fluid and to take full advantage of the hardware requirementes, besides, the game has much more action, that thanks to pshycho being a crazy trigger xD, different to Nomad's campaign, more tactical scenarios.
