  • That looks like fun!!!

  • これは面白そうですね。

  • I can see this working well in arcades

  • look up "kung fu live" on ps3. nuff said

  • The real guy can walk anywhere he wants. But the guy in the video game can't do that, because of virtual obstacles and enemies.

What if the real guy walks into an illegal spot (inside a wall/enemy)?

  • This is pretty much a (cooler) prototype for iToy.

  • This isn't augmented reality, this is a motion sensing camera.

  • No, It's augmented reality - A motion sensing camera would work like project natal and use your position's to move an on-screen character - this is using is actual image as the character so is putting a bit of reality into the game. Therefore it's Augmented Reality.

  • looks pretty retarded, I can't believe it will catch on, we'll see...

  • LOL @ Juhan Af Gran as a "hoovering bad guy"

  • wait i just realized this, before any sony fans start giving me shit this is what project natal is and as you can see it does work YAY

  • No it is not. It is actually less advanced then what is promised for Project Natal. This is purely a camera and tracking, project natal also is promised to have a second infrared CCD that from the shade of infrared light is supposed to have a voxel representation of the player in 3d to do advanced tracking.

Both won't be a success imho. Natal will require the lighting in your living room to be optimized for it and in any way, most people would be embarrassed to play like this.

  • what is this game console called

  • It is called Personal Computer with custom software. Although something like that could be done on consoles, but that won't happen since you can't sell a game that requires you to have a living room the size of a loft.

  • It doesn't have to be played in the living room. I'd be willing to set up a TV outside or in the garage to play this, it looks awesome.

  • i wonder where can you play it

  • i so wanna play this i would totaly kick ass

  • 2:30 nose pick anyone?

  • I guess Eyetoy counts as augmented reality then. Cool, I have an AR system!

  • i just thumbed this one back up one because hes right, i have to major hobbies, extreme/adventerouse sport and computer and gaming. if i want to exercise and "interact" i go and do real actvities that take fitness and skill, if i want some easy and fun whilst sitting on my ass i play a computer game

  • I agree.

  • id buy it, and mod it so that you fight naked people xD

  • do want

  • only two words....Muscular Geeks!

  • Are there sensors on their bodies, I mean how is the game getting input?

  • Pure bluescreen. Detects if a peice of body is on an enemy.

  • napolean dynamite in the beginning had some sweet moves

  • it's actully not that high tech it's like eye toy with face tracking and a chroma key(blue screen).

  • where do i get this?

  • i soooo want to play this xD

  • XDDDDD! i can't believe they would encourage people to scream their heads off...

  • If the Wii's popularity continues unchecked this is the amount of effort I will have to put into every video game I want to play.

  • Im glad this stuff is coming around finally, After 25 years of video games im sick of them. We need a change.

  • Looks fun, but why on earth show a side on view at either end :-/

Either side should be first-person or at least head on, with the backing side on. Moving into/out of the screen with your charecter going accross is just confusing :-/

    Still, very cool anyway!

  • isnt that called augmented virtuality?

  • HA ha cool, I want one!

  • the real point of video is give kids bats flashing lights and sound effects and u have perfect killer clone army ,this is basic training next they spear water melons plastic knives to get used to blood soaked feeling

  • Cid, is this comment in English? I can't read it.

  • jUST A BIGGER VERSION OF EYE TOY

  • great very cool

  • I was there! they showed this at the Wired magazine NextFest in NYC. I tried it. it's kinda a more advances eyetoy... it does have it's glitches though.

  • cool

  • i want one in my room...

  • crazy shit the next gen consoles will have this!

  • this is fucking awesome. I want one in my house :(

  • cool stuff
