  • sorry I didn't mean to say drift. Just ccw spin. I tried increasing the gain as high as possible just before the tail starts to wag but still the same problem. It could be my servo, Power HD-2216HB

  • Ah, that servo is rather slow. Specs show .09 seconds at 6 volts. If you run lower voltage, even slower. My Hyperion is .05 seconds at the same voltage. If your headspeed is low you also have poor tail authority, so that may be a factor. And finally, binding in your tail linkages can cause it. Or all of the above. :) Hope that helps!

  • @InsideHeliPodcast Thanks! Will work on all of that.

  • When you punch the throttle heli spins left just like my 450/gyrd setup. What tail servo do you use? Is there a way to get rid of this drift?

  • For that video I was using a Hyperion DS09 GMD, which has since been switched to a DS11 GCB. You can reduce the slight yaw to the left by increasing the gain in most cases. This is not the same thing as "drift", which is a constant tendency to yaw at all times. The best cure for the yaw (and the one I ultimately did) is to install a better gyro. :)
