The rainbow six games are very tactical and organized, you keep with a squad and surgically move through locations.

In bad company, you just blow everything up and hope the bad guys where somewhere in the explosions, much less organized.

rainbow six seems to be very organized, but in my opinion, its really unrealistic! you sit in front of a door, sometimes 2 minutes and you are planing your tactical ambush. okay... but you open a door and suddenly 500 terrorists are sitting in front of you and you must shot everyone in this room?! in real, shooting is the last option for special forces, because of hostages and so on.. but this is war, and this is definitiv the realistc version of the "tactical attac" of the us army ;D

Uhm...COD4 is -not- run and gun to everyone, it honestly depends on your play style. In both games the teammates are next to useless, so it's actually fun to play tactically, and on higher difficulties, the game requires you to. I've found with Bad Company that since you respawn infinitely, fifty feet from where you died, there's no reason to do anything but lob grenades, call in missile strikes, and generally shoot at anything with a pulse until you die, then repeat the process.
