Since they are custom made for specific vehicles, they are not likely to damage your engine.

I bought the CTS for my ford f-150 5.4l It only has three power modes trans only, towing, extreme. Whats teh trans only why dont it have performance mode????? please help

@UBRidin According to Edge, the trans only level makes changes to the transmission. It will provide firmer transmission shifts which help to increase transmission life. Many of the Edge products have a performance level, however, if it is not available on your unit, it may not be suitable for your vehicle. Let me know if you have any further questions.

@TheeDuramax It will make a difference. I asked our experts and they suggested having someone with OEM tires pacing you on the highway, so you can see what the difference in your speedometer is going to be.

@TheeDuramax The Edge tune will override the hypertech. If you want, you can use the hypertech and flash the truck back to stock. Then, use the Edge for racing tune and the Edge can correct your speedometer.

@joeldude76 Some people see up to a 5+ mpg increase in their car. A lot of that does depend on your driving, if you're towing, and other factors, so I can't give you a definitive answer, but you will definitely see a difference in how your car performs, with one of these chips installed.

whats the largest tire it can read?

@TheeDuramax The Edge Evolution CS and CTS will work with 35 inch tires and some models will work with up to 38 inch tires. The Edge Juice Attitude will adjust on the monitor but not on the truck itself. and the Edge Insight will not adjust at all. In short, the largest tire that can be read is a 38 inch tire but that is only with certain models of the Edge Evolution CS and Edge Evolution CTS.

@MrPoonasty @MrPoonasty Yes, you will be able to input your larger tire size and gear size into the programmer. It will then be able to compensate and recalibrate the speedoemeter accordingly.

so i have a 2003 ford f150 i'm getting ready to put a 3 inch lift on it with 33 inch tires i have a cold air intake and a flowmaster single to dual exhaust would the cts let me put all the mods in the programmer? and if so would it automatically change my shift points and recalibrate my speedomoter? just trying to ask questions before purchasing one of the modules

@bfisk86 You will have the ability to input your tire size and the CTS will reclaibrate the speedometer. Also, it will be able to compensate if you changed out the final or rear axle gears. You will be able to adjust transmission shift points, however I am not sure if it would be automatic. It will be able to take into accout some of your modifications. However I do not have all the information on all the modifications it can accomodate.

This product seems to only be for domestic cars. But i have a 2007 toyota corolla, and i think its OBDII enabled. will it still work?

@Sicknasty50 Edge performance products are custom designed chip for each vehicle. Since this is the case, they are only avaible for select types of vehicles. They are primarily made for trucks and SUVs that have diesel or 8 cylinder gas engines.

Currently, Edge products are designed for the computers of cars built and sold in North America only. The cars built and sold in South America (like Brazil) and Europe have very different computers from North American cars and so Edge products are not designed to work with them.

There is really no way for me to provide you with an extensive list (it would be very long).
