  • Yess I nailed the G spot on !!!....

  • Justin, you make my shitty days 900000000000 times better. thank you for your awesome lessons. :3

  • the only thing i hate about youtube is the discrepancies between videos, all are valid, however it makes learning really confusing!!! cant complain too much, it is a fantastic resource to have as a beginner

  • This really help for the beginners like me. I saw alot of tutorial here in youtube but i don't really get them..Thank you so much ..

  • Thanks a lot Justine, I really like your teaching technique. You make it simple with the guide sheets, and you show where to place your fingers really well. I wasn't sure if my Uncle was correct on the G chord, so thanks for comfirming he knew what he was talking about lol. Great videos, you're teaching me a lot.

  • G chord, First learn, Wasn't a Problem on First attempt.

  • sir one question plz. i can do G chord with small finger good enough as we the other one.but in many songs i find easier to use the small finger.is this bad?

  • you sir are awesome

  • i have a music teacher at school and he gave us a paper with the cords and for the g chord i had to use my 2nd,3rd,and fourth finger it was impossible because of my pinkie so thanks now i can play it :D oh and i mis read my paper so i put my 3rd finger on the 4th freth so thanks for the vid man !

  • its so funny how people find this hard. This was the easiest chordd I've done.! Nice video by the way!

  • G sucks!

  • Thank you. So much.

  • I love the lessons but its impossible to find the next one each time :(

  • @xMPxMonst3rz use the web site dude!! They are all in order and have all the diagrams and all that!!

  • i dont play my G like this at all..

  • @billabong4202 ok... Then you might do it wrong :b ?

  • @XONE1636 theres no wrong way if u get the same sound.. theres different variations of the chord.. i was just taught differently

  • @billabong4202 Do you use the pinky in place of the 3d finger and put the 3d on the 2nd string 3d fret? They are both G's. Chords arn't created by a shape but the single notes played by the chord this make lots of shapes for G possible. The one he is showing you is a Pop variation of G as it misses out the pinky which is easier.

  • oooooow!

  • It's relatively easy for me when I use the 1 2 and 3 fingers. But my guitar book says to use 2 3 and 4 which is difficult

  • @redteamdarkspear duhhhh I'd like to use 1,2 and 3 but considering other chords like C and D7... I don't know. Mine also says as yours.

  • The two chords that I've always had problems with cuz my hand is too small are the G-Spot, er excuse me I mean G-Chord, and the Ab chord.

  • I nearly typed in g string instead of g chord:L

  • @QxRG i have to hide from my parents to learn how to play....appreciate when you can, don't complain.

  • Man I hate my Dad he is such an idiot I hat playing guitar, here I sit in my room listening to people play xBox or Minecraft whilst I'm stuck In a room practicing crappy guitar, some parents are just stupid. I don't want to grow up and become a "Professional" guitarist and have lot's of money, I want to live life my way, Coding!

  • @QxRG lol u prefer to be a freak nerd ^^ then go try, then in a few years you`re going to say i`m so fu c king stupid.. no ofence ;) just an advice sory for my english

  • @QxRG Nerd.

  • @QxRG You little prick at least someones encouraging you to play

  • @QxRG shut the fuck up and play that g chord

  • It's killing me. I know I only just started but I am feeling the burn

  • true

  • UR THE BEST !

  • u r the best on youtube Justin , youtube is great because of having people like you!

  • i was like: g chord? what? :D

  • sound

  • i prefer to use my pinkie on the bottom E.

  • @titsmcgee735 i cant even put my pinkie there xD it wont get there idk why

  • I actually love you no homo.

  • now this guy knows how to teach :) easy to grasp!

  • THANKS JUSTIN FOR ALL YOUR HELP...... AND BTW YOU'RE HANDSOME.... :-)

  • lol my hands hurt like hell

  • @Deadpool534 me too, did you get it right though?

  • @CallMehSam i have a big chord chart that came with my guitar. I saw another version of G and i didn't use the E and A string and barred the rest of them on the third fret

  • for this video

  • thanxxxx so much!! ^_^

  • I hav the same guitar dude.. (the one on the back)

  • i have the same guitar ,like the one to his right, its amazing.

  • you are cool you make it easer to understand thanks

  • THNNX .....it's really EASY :D

  • For some reason I add the D (2nd string, 3rd fret). I just think it sound like a more full G if that makes sense? Is this a bad habit?

  • so far Justin,..... i love your videos.. its really helping me out.. thanks!!

  • DANG MY TINY HANDS

  • Thanks justin :))

  • thanks !

  • thank you

  • 7 ppl cant play the G chord

  • @Aseel345 I'm kind of thinking 193,784 people can't play the G chord but whatever, your joke was hilarious, i can't stop laughing... -.-

  • Justin's vidz helps me(a beginner) a lot.....thx!

  • I have to disagree with you Justin, I can play the G chord easily, But the F chord is much more difficult for me.... I just can't get it down. Any suggestions?

  • Thanks, this video is a big help! I love the way Justin makes guitar playing that much more fun and not as hard for a beginner...

  • i can't do it

  • thanksss

  • there's something i never understand i'd appreciate who answer it for me .. well i'm soooo beginner .. isn't that " C chord" or any other chord changes ?? I mean whats the different !!

  • Bring on the C chord!

  • i practiced hard yesterday and i think i am getting alot better, guys just keep up the hard work.

  • thanks man you are teaching me guitar.

  • I really think I need a guitar with a smaller neck, g chord is really giving me hell. And when I get it right, it sounds really ugly.

  • U r the best of everything i found on youtube

  • Hey Justin Thanks For the lessons man .i am new to the guitar and it is realy helping me a lot

  • thanks!it heplped me alot!i wanted to know how to play the cords from a to g so i could play a year without rain

  • i thought it would be easier to do this already knowing how to play an instrument...wrong. fuck this, im sticking to the piano!

  • Lolz im such a biginner that i dont even know what the chords sound like but i followed the picture instructions when it first came on and it made such a cool noise i actily did a lil spaz XD

i cant seem to strech it enough anymore though >.<

    your an Awsomest teacher!

  • this is impossible

  • @Matthew9444 i know, this chord is so hard, my second finger is always touching the 2nd string!! :(

  • @dinh after some practice i can now do it fairly easily though i was in a state of great anger and stress when i first tried.

just keep doing it or go back and play other chords for a while, you'll get it eventually

  • @Matthew9444 Thanks, that really gives me hope!

  • Thanks alot! This is my first chord and I've been having a lot of trouble with finger position. Very good turtorial!

  • G is my favourite Chord

  • G chord was the first chord i learned to play! and since i found it the easiest to play lol.

  • df

  • why 1st finger 2d string and not 2nd finger 2nd string ? If so your 1st finger can be availible for other strings, so it says in my "learn to play"-book for beginners.

Recently bought my guitar at Lidl, now after 2 weeks I already can play songs like "when the saints" by notes.

  • @JonasE1969 i jsut tried what you said, it's genuinely not possible to play this chord like that...

  • Thanks for the lessons. You are definately the best guitar instructor on youtube.

  • I don't know but I perfectly know only G... :S

  • is it possible that you could get hand cramps from playing guitar? i used to play the viola last year but i kept getting hand cramps. i think it was becuase my hand was just positioned wrong

  • this guy is awesome! i know most of the basic chords, but his videos refresh me on the basics

  • tnx man :)

  • Lol G-String

  • @1mc001 classy -.-

  • took me a while but i figured out the main reason why i couldn't do it was because my 1st finger was pulling down the string and muting the one behind it

  • thx man because of you i can now play guitar i will tell all my friends about you if they want to learn how to play

  • thank uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!

  • im using that exact guitar in the background

  • Thanks loads for your great vid. It helped me alot and I liked the picture saying where to put the fingers next to the vid. You are one of the best teachers I have seen so far.

  • my fucking finger tip of the middle finger has wierd sharp form and its muting the damn string D:

  • thanks for the help you explain how to play in a way that is easy to understand

  • Its so hard x_x

    I'll try again tomorrow

  • this was the first chord I learned :o

  • @CrappnIdiotsPROD. check your strings

  • a great thank you from me!

  • the finger 2 and 3 should be right behind the fret or in the middle is also k?

  • @humanoutlaw i have the exact same question.. and it is about two days.. since i am trying to master G.. but no improvement so far.. :( my fingers are still touching the wrong strings.. :(

  • @ribanan i just went with middle of the fret :p i got it few days back keep practicing with some combo chords D G A D it gets easier

  • Need any help on the guitar subscribe to me then email me and i'll give you any information you'll need to know

  • @theworldofguitars Why should people subscribe to your crappy channel when you're the one who needs help?

  • Easy but it can be hard for new payers

  • Your lessons and videos are so helpful to me i havent been playing gutair long at all but imr eally enjoying it all and youve helped a lot so thankss :))

  • justin is god for learning he talks the begginers terms great guy

  • Hehe... this was easy for me ;D

i sure have problem with A chord but im am working at it..

  • stoned head

  • i think this is one of the easiest chords

i have problems with Dm and C chords

  • justin, you're so sweet!!

  • thanks man your's the best

  • do you strum the hole 6 to play that or just the ones with the fingers on the string, sorry im puren ew to this ::D

  • @drummerboicrhis

i just started playing guitar yesterday and i learned this chord. If you look at the diagram at :55 you can see at the top their are circles on the strings without your fingers on it. That means to strum open. If it had an X marking then you would not strum that string

  • thank u so much this is so useful!

  • this guy is so much better than expert village

  • @lemonlime305 lol hahaha

  • @lemonlime305

Expert Village is the Walmart of instructional videos, lol

  • Nice lesson, i don't think this chord is really hard, but i often see some G chords we're the b string is fretted on the 3rd fret. Does it matter which one of them I'm playing or is it just a matter of personal preference? (I know, the grammar in this sentence is strange, I should go to bed. :D)

  • Comment removed

  • I dont use the third thinger. Instead, I use the fourth. Is this ok?

  • yes of course it okay i too often use my 4th (pinky) because i can move it easier to the chord g7 and g sus 4 but it depends what you find easisest though and also depending on what chord you may want too move too but i normally only use my pinky

  • Yeah it is.

  • Thanks Justin.

    Jacob

  • whats ur tattoo

  • Ofcourse te 1st and 2nd finger stays the same :)

  • Its not a very hard chord ive started with 2finger with pinky on 3rd fret of E and 3rd finger on b on 3rd fret its much easier for me but everyone is making it diffrent ;)

  • Thank you, Sir. Your lessons are quite helpful.

  • I consider myself an intermediate player but I still try avoid that chord. My ring finger is always rebellious when it comes to that one. Nice lesson.

  • Oh sweet they start again! Thanks Justin!
