@molloyxx1 I have always been intrigued with liberal logic that equates money spent on education as some sort of barometer of success in education when the data is clear. Areas in which we spend the most on education (Detroit, DC, NYC) have a drop out rate of upwards of 73%.

How unsurprising that you failed to mention Obama authorized 17,000 not long after taking office, or that in August 2008 W.s generals asked for an increase and he turned them down. It is obvious that conservatives would like to have us believe that the Bush administration never happened, that we were in a state of suspended animation until the day Obama was inaugurated and at that point everything started to collapse. The Taliban resurgence did not begin on 1/21/09. It began well before that precisely because Bush under resourced the war of necessity for years. Obama responded w/ a 17,000 troop increase not long after taking office. Why is this so difficult to understand?
